Why reinvent the wheel every time you make something, Adobe? What XD should have been is InDesign For Digital. Robust text control, tables, master page instead of the cheap grid tool, and better pasting; stuff draw in AI or INDD should come in as though they are native, drawn-in-XD stuff.
As it stands the drawing, text handling, and data functions are somewhat inferior to PowerPoint. And yeah, I've had clients bad enough I did UX design work in PPT so I know.
