What is currently missing is a tool to create fully editable InDesign-like tables and Illustrator-like graphs that adapt to the input data.

It's rather disappointing that a table generation feature is still not available for this app. Tables are so common item in any web solution they deserve better attention on this app. I've tried a few different table plugins and find them all limited to creating a bunch of individual blocks.

The basics should allow us to
- edit a column width, not have to adjust the width of individual cells.
- add a column instead of creating individual squares and line them all up
- edit a header - overall styling, and background

Adobe InDesign has powerful table feature. why not port it to XD?

I've only just started using Adobe XD and am flabbergast at the lack of a table feature. Agree 100% with the original request. Core table features are needed - it should be easy to create and modify a table, not an arduous nightmare. As it is I will be better off creating a table in the software that I am trying to use XD to prototype for!

Please put this in. I am wasting so much time trying to design tables and it could be done so much easier if there was an existing table tool!!!

Grid/tabular data is very much relevant in a lot of UIs. Come on. Make it so, Adobe!

Tables are an absolute necessity and 100% of our work involves tables. XD is great but the lack of table functionality is a real negative. Please, please add table functionality.

Why reinvent the wheel every time you make something, Adobe? What XD should have been is InDesign For Digital. Robust text control, tables, master page instead of the cheap grid tool, and better pasting; stuff draw in AI or INDD should come in as though they are native, drawn-in-XD stuff.

As it stands the drawing, text handling, and data functions are somewhat inferior to PowerPoint. And yeah, I've had clients bad enough I did UX design work in PPT so I know.

We need the ability to create robust data tables in XD. Repeat Grid simply does not cut it for robust Data tables as repeat grid only works well with uniform width/height elements and takes 10x longer to create a large data spreadsheet or table which are common in complex online applications such as with insurance mangement, claims management etc. We need large tables with varying column widths, varying row heights as well as row and column spanning capability. Repeat grid simply does not suffice and trying to replicate tables with it is hair pulling frustrating and time consuming.

We also need the ability to import excel or .csv files as well as the ability to copy and paste data from excel into an adobe XD table in the same way you are able to do so with indesign and/or dreamweaver.

This shortcomming is what is preventing my company and those we work with from fully adopting Adobe XD.

One thing I would like to add to this is that the "repeat Grid" tool IS NOT SUFFICIENT to do tables. Grid only works for a data table with identical column widths and row heights. Trying to create a table with varying widths and heights or merged data cells is an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to try to do with the repeat Grid tool.

I know everyone and their sister is obsessed with "responsive design" and using Divs or react for everything but some robust data driven applications require large, complex data tables which will never be used or displayed on a mobile device.

Please give us Table Functionality in XD with the ability to copy and paste cell data from word, Excel or google sheets. (basically the same or similar to how it works with indesign) Yes I know there is a google sheets plugin but that is not suitable either. It only pastes data into a "repeat Grid" layout and is insufficient for any table with variable widths/heights or row/column spans. It also sucks to create alternating row colors, column headers or specify row colors etc.

I'm in the same boat. I know Tables are "out of fashion" now a days but for those of us creating robust online applications which deal with displaying large complex data sets, tables are an absolute necessity.

Table functionality is sorely missing. I spend far too much time just creating a simple table like a change log. Then spending lots more time every time I need to update it with new content.
