Just to clarify how it works currently – artboards in the PDF are currently listed based on looking at your artboard layout on XD’s canvas in “reading order." The PDF page order will start with artboards in the topmost row left to right, then move on to the next row of artboards below that (starting with the leftmost artboard again), etc.

I understand the default reading order used for PDF export, but it's utterly non-intuitive -- and forces us to order our artboards in ways that do NOT make sense for the experiences we're designing, and only provide a work-around.

It would make much more sense to have them go in their order in the Layers menu (or to at least have this as an option). Then we could at least arrange the output page sequence differently than the physical layout of the artboards.

I'd just like to add my voice to requests for this feature -- XD is becoming an increasingly important component of our internal workflow, and we need to be able to share high-resolution PDFs of various design iterations with clients, so they can zoom in and see very fine details.

The web sharing interface is too slow (and limited in its zoom capability) to allow this, which makes PDFs by far our best option.

Right now, XD downsamples images on PDF export, and images in the output PDFs lack details that are clearly there in the original XD document.

    Hi, all-

“Convert to code” is fairly ambiguous, and I’m looking for more specifics as to what you’re hoping to get out of this. We already have a number of stories that go to specific technologies: HTML/CSS, XCode, Android Studio, etc. I’d like to close this one out in the interest of having more specific export paths.
