Thanks for the clarification! This makes sense, and I’ve edited the title to reflect your request.

As a new user I was surprised that XD does not work this way already. Would be an excellent capability to add to a program that has thus far been a pleasure to use. Thanks.

I have found this, being forced to use the cloud, aspect of XD as being very discouraging towards my embracing the whole line of Adobe products, which is something I was considering as a new user.
The ability to have some work in the Adobe Cloud is a nice option, but can also create many obvious problems if it is the only option for working with the assets related to your own projects. To think that this could be a monetization strategy, as is suggested by some users is very disappointing. It seems that it could very well be a self-sabotaging strategy on Adobe's part, as well as other large Software vendors. Cloud computing has a place within the technology stack of many enterprises and individuals, but to force this upon users is bound to, ironically, just force a lot of users to seek for alternative solutions for their work.
Personally, I'm seriously reconsidering establishing my workflow in Figma + Gimp, rather than further continuing investing time into Adobe products that seem to be trending in ignoring the requirements of their userbase. Thank you for listening, and thank you for developing such otherwise pleasurable and proficient products.
