I'm not sure if there is a workaround for this or not but even if I make the artboard large enough to cover the right and left edges of a large desktop screen, I still have an issue with a bit of the background showing through at the top of the screen. Only a few pixels in height but since prototypes are created to closely simulate accurate website experiences, this can be an issue.
