Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview
Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.
To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:
MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.
Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!
XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

How many votes are necessary to get this into the product? Guys I know we have animation between artboards, but we need to prototype a voice assistant with animated states. We'd like to have states for speaking, listening, idle and tie it to the voice prototype. It's sad we can't use XD at all to this and have to find alternative solution :/ Please listen to your users.

I would also love gifs and/or video support. This would make my life a THOUSAND times better. Really difficult to show off hifi mockups without video/gif media and the work arounds are really cumbersome. Don't make us leave your product to go to another for work arounds ;) Keep us!

Why is this STILL not possible? You are making it really difficult to support XD full-time... and the longer we have to use Sketch, Invision, Figma etc the less we will ultimately be happy to switch to XD wholeheartedly. This shouldn't be so difficult?

Desperately need this! I was trying to present a website yesterday and it would be so helpful to have the mp4 video playing in the layout rather than a static photo pretending to be a video. It's just not the same.

Adding video feature would be perfect since video is one of the most important elements of current interactive mediums using it as an element is extremely important for high fidelity prototypes.
