Change default save location to local file system
XD insists on saving my documents to Cloud Documents by default all the time. I haven't made such a decision and there's' no way of changing the default. I wanna save to "Your Computer" all the time. I really miss a "Remember this choice" option. Please stop making decisions on my behalf Adobe.
As of XD 29, you can now save to local documents directly without hitting the same selector by using the key command Shift+Opt+Cmd+S (Mac) or Shift+Alt+Ctrl+S (Win).

I'm the only designer at my company and like others am required to save files to my company's server. The Cloud Documents are useless to me, and XD automatically saving to it is very frustrating. It's obnoxious that I now have to take extra steps to save to my computer. I agree, I want the default to go back to saving and opening from my computer.
In other Adobe programs, like InDesign, you can change short cut keys and your preferences for the program, but not in XD. I think enabling these features is a way to allow those of us who need to save locally the ability to do and those who want to automatically save to the cloud can as well. This way we all get a CHOICE where our files save to automatically.

This save to cloud thing has burned me a couple of times. My company wants stuff saved on the local servers. I was saving this in the cloud the entire time not realizing that it wasn't updating my file on the server. You have the option of saving on your companies server but its a pain. Please fix this. Thanks

SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+S let you indeed save local, but this command is only "SAVE AS" ... that means, YOU NEED TO MAKE EACH TIME A NEW LINK FOR SHARE MOCKUPS WITH YR CLIENTS!!!!!!!

Please let me save locally by default.

I understand the intent and love XD in general, but shutting down the feature as completed, therefore disallow more votes is not the ideal solution.
At the very least, if enough users want to save locally, it should become a optional setting to toggle too. Cloud saving has benefits and unlocks great XD features, but not all designers have that much choice over their saving workflow and need to save to a local server of their company for example.
Therefore: If not changing the default, then please let us manually change the default. All users embracing the modern default will use the Cloud as you intended, the rest can switch and are satisfied.

Please change this back to saving locally by default, I don't want to save to the cloud. Better yet, please just use the native OS Save As dialogue, I don't see the point in reinventing the wheel.

ctrl + s — the os and muscle memory default should be save to local. Save to cloud should be your special key combo. Angry and disappointed. I get that you thought this might be a good idea, but now you know it isn't change it back.

Please change this back. or give us an option to make save-to-local a preference. Last week, Adobe Cloud was down all day. if all my docs were in the cloud, I wouldn't have been able to work.
this sucks because I always save locally. but now XD defaults to the cloud and I don't realize it. I don't even know where to look at my files in the cloud.
Perhaps you should get user feedback before you make such decisions on software. Were people complaining because they actually WANTED it on the cloud? A lot of us have been doing design since 1995. We are not 20 years old. We are old school and prefer to still do things that way. It's also so I can guarantee I have a record of my clients files, especially if they ever ask for a copy

This is not a feature completed. This is dark UX coercing users to use cloud by default. Please stop it. Now you have to use a long-winded save process which replaced the basic save. Please revert.

The fact that I cannot save to Local by default is frustrating. Clearly the users are not the priority here taking away that option. The 4-key, non-standard solution is not intuitive and is inconvenient, especially since its not standard to ANY other app, Adobe or beyond.
Requesting an update to improve this

Not good enough. It needs to be the default. I just went on an hours long scavenger hunt for my files till I realized this was going on. What the hell Adobe!
Every other adobe app is CTRL+S to save locally. Whoever advocated for this feature does not have the users best interests at heart that's clearly.

This is a very under-handed maneuver on the part of Adobe. Shame on this company for forcing users into their ecosystem despite the users preferred workflow

So you now cant save to server like every other Adobe App! Wow!
Just another step away from Adobe being a professional suite of tools, where are you getting your feedback from for these changes?
Go to some ad agencies that pay adobe thousands every month and ask for some professional user feedback. Why does Adobe keep getting things so wrong, and please stop changing the shortcuts across the suite! this is muscle memory and infuriating.

Adding in a 4-key command just to save a file locally is terrible. Awful user experience. It's really screwed up my already time-constrained job to now have to check and make sure I didn't save the last 30 saves to the cloud.
Please fix this.

Forced saving to cloud is annoying.
Please fix this to provide option on where to save new documents as it currently stands this creates extra, unnecessary steps which just wastes time.

Seconded. Remember last save location, or preference settings.

Agreed. I almost NEVER want to save to the cloud and have to make this decision over and and over and over and over...

XD should simply remember the user's previous choice and make this the default for the next File > Save (or Save As) action.
Similarly, when saving a new document under the "Your computer" option it should default to the last saved location instead of "Documents" (at least, this is what it does under Windows10). Ironically, if you click to change the folder it then goes to the last saved location.

Agree. Default to local/network save.
