Keyboard navigation to navigate/jump between Artboards

I think it would make it really easy on users if you could add a keyboard shortcut that would allow the left-up-down-right arrow keys to switch selections between art boards or components (would be nice to insta swap art-boards or just have them animate to focus on the desired board). I don't like the idea of having to use my mouse and space-bar. It just feels really inefficient.

"Go to next artboard" and "Artboard Quick Navigate" are good substitutes while we wait for a feature like this

The page navigation keys should shift view in the current artboard.
"home" should move the view to the top
"page up should move 1 sreen page up
    ...
    See attached image for details

    One more comment:
I've since renamed it (this time it's cleverly titled, "Go to next artboard").
Now it uses the current selection as a starting point.

It needs to be approved, but assuming that's happened by the time you read this, please search for that plugin and give it a try. I'm pleased with it personally.

And actually, Kevin, there's another request our friend "Anonymous" commented on where I mentioned this plugin I made. I posted again there with some follow up info (can't edit comments, though):

    * The name is actually Cycle thru Artboards
    * The toolbox they provide for making plugins (API) doesn't yet allow access to punctuation or arrow-type keys, that's why it had to be something basic like the Ctrl+Alt+D I chose. I wanted to use PageUp and PageDown, but alas, it's not configurable like that yet.

Actually I guess it's called "Cycle thru Artboards" :D it went through a few changes in the steps to get it published.

    Hi Folks,
Maybe some of you did this yourself, but I created a little plugin to address this lacking. It's called CycleArtboards and is nothing too fancy: just press Ctrl+Alt+A/D to go back and fwd in the artboards.

At first I tried to start from the current artboard, but that proved tricky, so I have it start from the first one and after that, it remembers where it was. As a user, I just cycle quickly through to find current and then go to next for that back-n-forth action I wanted.

Hopefully helpful for whomever sees this. Let me know if you need it to change.

Yes, there must be a an easy way, such as using the keyboard "arrow" keys to navigate from one artboard to the next, please!

Having to "teach" user to use the nav-carrots, or watch them tediously go back and forth from the "All-Screens" view and then the individual artboard is a disaster.

I'd suggest that after one of the little carrots are selected at the bottom navigation of the design-spec screen, that the keyboard arrows are activated, allowing the use of to navigate the artboards. That was you can still use the keyboard arrows to move the artboard if you click in the artboard area (deactivating the nav-carrot selection).

Even a shortcut to "jump to previously selected artboard" would help a lot.

I agreed. There should be a Artboards window like Illustrator, so you can go to any artboard directly instead of zoom in and out, pan left and right.

This would be extremely helpful for cases where you have done Ctrl+3 to get the artboard to fit to a window. It would then allow you to navigate quickly through them but maintain the same zoom.

I do a lot of checking on designs and the scroll out/in is really tedious.

just to be able to move quickly from one artboard to the other without the need to zoom-out and zoom-in or to use the pan tool a few time

    Such an important feature.

When checking that elements across multiple pages (artboards) are consistently aligned it is so much more efficient to just be able to skip back and forth between artboards at the same zoom and viewport positioning.

Aside from that it's also a really efficient way to page through a design when getting a feel for where you are at overall.

Easily the thing causing me the most issues when switching from Fireworks.

Th artboards need to be able to be arranged and clicked through in the desired order via the arrows on the keyboard.

I don't understand how this doesn't have vastly more votes! Being able to jump from artboard to artboard quickly without a change in zoom level or artboard positioning within the viewport is such an important feature for effectively ensuring elements are position consistently / pixel perfectly across pages.

Not to mention it makes navigating through a design whilst designing vastly more efficient. This is the only lacking feature I have come across in XD that genuinely makes it a struggle to move from Fireworks.

Does this have so few votes because there is a way of doing we are missing?

Either arrow navigation or just fast navigation on dartboard panel would would tremendesly speed up workflow.

I need the ability to jump to next/previous art board to easily compare two art-boards in a split second.
Please make it jump to exactly the same position and zoom level of neighboring art-board.
Please support a keyboard shortcut for that, too.
This is the third absolutely essential productivity feature for me, immediately after:
-symbols with editable text and nested symbols
-group/symbol resizing control (stretching, positioning, etc.)
Resize grid and dnd mock data are great increase in productivity, but without these 3, my productivity will decrease and I will never switch to XD
