Full featured top menu for Windows 10
Get rid of the hamburger menu, and give windows users a full on top menu like in Photoshop or Illustrator. Hiding options behind an icon is a major pain. As a user of both Mac and Windows, I'd love for the program to be the same across both operating systems.
You can now access a fully featured top menu for Windows 10 in today’s release of XD! If you don’t see the update immediately, go to the Creative Cloud Desktop app, select the Update tab, the …, and “Check for updates.”

My opinion is that one can't push changes against customer habits. Remember Win8 and start menu trouble? C'mon Adobe, bring us back top menu.

I would like to point out that even Microsoft UWP apps have top menu bars. See for example the UWP OneNote app. It's because Microsoft's designers know it makes no sense to require an extra click to do any advanced function. Adobe XD's insistence on not including a top menu bar just gives an unfair advantage to the Mac version of the software.

What is this nonsense? Why does Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign have the Menu Bar option still available?
Don't tell me you're trying to remove the Menu Bar from them as well? is this some sort of a joke? -

Whoever made the decision to remove the top menu should be fired. You don't even have the scroll bars at the bottom and side to move around your main windows. It truly makes learning this app a chore. This new UWP experience is awful! Terrible!

We want the menu. Simple! You make products for us, not yourselves.

On Windows version, when right-clicking to textbox there is no "Convert to Path" option, while Menu Object > Path > Convert to Path on Mac version still work. On Windows, shortcut key still work too, but there is nothing on UI show that function

It is a serious pain when there is no View/Object/Edit/… menu on Windows 10.
I know that there is not top menu in UWP design principles, but it means that menu will be present as hamburger menu, does NOT mean that there aren’t necessary feature in menu.
There are too many features which become inaccessible on Windows 10 (as screenshot). Missing these menu items make Adobe XD on Windows 10 look no functionally at all because of missing many basic necessary features. It is not acceptable that user is forced to remember all shortcut keys from Mac then translate to Windows version to work with features that is not show on hamburger menu.
In other story, when shortcut keys are pressed as an accident, and user do not know that corresponding feature is existed, he/she will not understand what problem is happen. For example, after pressing Ctrl + ; as an accident, then all guides disappear, cannot create new guides, it looks like the guiding feature is not existed or went away in a magical way.So Adobe XD Team, please update full feature items on Windows 10 hamburger menu

"We’re crafting a purely UWP experience, which means following UWP design guidelines."... hehehe what kind of UWP experience? What is such "experience" that totally forget user centred design to satisfy the interests of Microsoft? We invest in expensive 4K 32” screens to waste our time looking for hidden features, because somebody thinks that tablet users will be happy with hamburger menus?
Once upon a time, UX meant "User Experience Design"... and it meant something valuable for user's cognitive processes and productivity. Still remember my self avidly reading Donald A. Norman books, learning about the exhaustion of facing hundreds of daily simple cognitive dissonances like a door that says “Push” but his handle is of the “Pull” type.
Sadly, UX today is focused more about trends and marketing, than make us our life easier.

I feel so frustrated. I really want to use Xd. I've used Window's for 10 years now, I'm self taught in Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign. But I can't be self taught in Xd with no navigation.. It's such a simple design, but for Window users, it's completely pointless. Even when I watch tutorials, I'm sitting here scratching my head because I don't have the same tools as other users.

Sure it looks like a small thing, but psychologically it feels like a huge step forward and lets Xd appear even more modern.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/design/layout/page-layoutI attached a quick mockup on how a modern Windows app (Adobe Xd) could/should look like based on the Microsoft guidelines, without the obsolete title bar on top.

It's annoying to work with such deep menu levels. Please save health for your users, every time i want to work with plugins i feel anger.

Then you are crafting a software for designing interfaces moving in the obvious wrong direction with your own interface due to development constraints. Are most of XD users even designing on small screen mobile devices or anything that justifies the loss of usability caused by the hamburguer menu? I doubt it.

All the tutorials have a menu bar. I was baffled to see it was because I was on windows it doesn't have one.
If you say its not UWP then give me an example of one UWP app that isnt something basic. Because without menus you are left with something that is way to basic and unusable.
ALL GOOD MICROSOFT PRODUCTS HAVE A TOP MENU. The only one that doesn't have a top menu is their paint app which is so basic and replace by A TOP COMMAND BAR with all of the options.
This is the only reason I am abandoning XD and moving to sketch even though my entire team is in adobe illustrator and photoshop and it makes it really nice with library's
