Select multiple items across different groups
Shift+Click allows to select multiple items.
Cmd+Click allows to select inside a group.
Cmd+Shift+Click would be nice if it selected items across different groups.
It's very useful to change details (i.e. color) across multiple items inside groups (i.e. icons).
Thanks!
This feature is now available in the March release! If you don’t see an update, select the … icon in the Creative Cloud desktop app and select “Check for App Updates.” If you have further feedback on this feature, please feel free to file a new ticket!

2 years and not even a comment from Adobe? This function can be performed in other Adobe products, shouldn't be that hard to include in XD. It truly is a pain in the butt not being able to do this.

2 years later and this tiny basic detail hasn't been fixed. Selecting and moving object one by one is a terrible and time consuming experience. ungrouping all of my groups to select and move the objects is hardly better.

Allow select objects one from inside the folder and other outside the folder at the same time.

This is what happens when a giant company that is ON THE RIGHT TRACK and delighting it's customers, completely pivots and creates a piece of garbage to kowtow and capitulate to half wit children who think Sketch is decent in the first place and that you should be able to do any type of creative much less a highly skilled and technical creative, on a crappy laptop with 8 to 16 gb ram. Illustrator is SOOOO bloated right? Wrong dummies, now go look at all the plugins and ad ons to make sketch work and all the things everyone with XD are crying about. ALl of it is native in illustrator. And it will be years before XD is caught up to the piece of garbage that is SKetch. You all wanted a solution you didn't have to learn and practice at -well you got 'em. Unuseable junk everyone is calling a product. Products for the lowest common denominator.

I would like to be able to select different objects that are nested inside different groups without un-grouping them to align them.
If you were to look at my pre-existing list of groups, there is no way for me to properly align the column "Price per Processed Page" without un-grouping my existing groups. I know I can cltr+click to select objects within groups but there is no option for multi-select.
A way to either multi-select or better align these objects would be great.

This is not acceptable, really slows down my workflow.

Yes please! A lot of the basics are missing. Come on Adobe. I suggest focusing on the basics first, before adding new features.

Yes please. This is driving me insane.
This is possible in Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Hi Guys,
I'm going crazy here as I can't figure out how to share my project and all 12 pages I designed. Anytime I try it it would only provide the link to the first 4 pages. Can anyone help me here? Thank You,

This is a must. It's a nightmare when editing iOS bottom tabs when you need to make edits to multiple icons at once. Or in list views where it would be nice to make a change to multiple elements at once. The repeating grid doesn't work for all situations.

Come on Adobe, this is easy to implement!
We need it. A lot. -

I would like to be able to select multiple layers/items that are part of different groups.

This would be super useful!!!!! The first 2 shortcuts OP pointed out have already been implemented by XD.
But would love to see, Cmd+Shift+Click and Cmd+Shift+Drag to select individual layers across different groups.

Extremely helpful for changing colors of objects. You should also be able to use the layers palette for this as well.

Hi Jonathan,
Here's my answers to your questions.
1. In AI I select the 'direct selection' tool ("A" key) and then use Command+Shift Click to select all items I want to work with. I can also click+drag a lasso to quickly select elements I want. Note that by holding the "option" key as well will allow me to select the whole object without having the lasso overlap the entire object... not including "option" key will only select points within the lasso which can be very useful to move/expand the left side of a complex object for instance.
2. There are numerous workflows where this behavior is very useful:
• Aligning, moving or otherwise editing elements in a layout that may fall into separate groups.
• Selecting multiple items that will all link to the same artboard (prototype mode). Complete link for all items in a single bulk action (huge time savings).
• Selecting multiple text blocks that you want to have the same formatting... rather than having to select and set each individually like you have to do currently (eyedropper that copies style would mitigate this to some degree).
• Nice shortcut to select items currently in different groups and then cut to remove from current groups and then paste items and set as new group.

Hi Davide!
1. How do you currently work around this same scenario in Ai or Ps?
2. Apart from style changes and basic operations like (Delete, lock, copy, arrange, hide) what are the other workflows you are most likely to perform on a selection set across different groups.
