Find and Replace - Text
It would be great to have a generic "find and replace" inside the edit menu like most text editors have. What would be even better is if you could select the find and replace function to use the current art board, or all art boards. This is super helpful if you're mocking up redundant content that has a slight name change between screens.

Find and replace is such a crucial tool that we are dumbfounded that it is missing from Xd.

I agree, I would love this feature. Especially as a content strategist who works inside XD on all of the time, I'd like to be able to quickly find text on multiple artboards in one file.

It would be GREAT!!

I've a lot of screens and not all the text is in reusable elements, this would be a huge time saver.

Please, it would be super helpful to have a "Search/Replace" function.

Hi XD Team,
It would be nice to extend the search function in order to find text inside a particular layer. For instance :
- In my layers, i have one called "some text" which contains the sentence "Adobe XD is very nice to use."
- I search the word "nice"
- The layer "some text" is highlighted or better the word on the artboard is colored / framed or selected (if it is the only result). It would be faster to find and replace word or terms in our design or prototypes.
Thanks ;)

Crazy this doesn't exist yet. Essential.

PLEASE ADOBE. This is a basic ask. Having to go through multiple artboards, body copy, groups, etc. to replace a simple CAP treatment with lower case on a single word instance is PAINFUL, a total time suck and proofing to make sure you caught all instances is even more of a stress.

I just made a plugin called Replacer which can do this for now. It can infact replace any text, rectangle, ellipse, path or line with other similar or different elements. Read more here:

This option is essential. It already exists in indesign, illustrator or photoshop, and also in all text editors. It's so hard to change a one word when you have more than 50 screens. Please Adobe make this option possible !

Adobe-- can you give us a comment on this one? Is it even being considered for the backlog?

I completely agree. Not having a Find & Replace feature makes XD seems half-baked.

I could stab myself in the eye after having to go through +50 screens replacing one word many times within groups of hidden elements outside of the screen.
THIS MUST NOT BE SO HARD to do -

XD makes it super easy to repeat elements with the awesome repeat grid. It only takes one typo to creep in and before you know it - the error is popping up in loads of screens / different devices etc.

When is this coming? Even if I could just get Find in the next update, it would be huge. It can be impossible to manually find all instances of a word in a large document. Of course, Find and Replace is necessary, but not having Find is crippling.

Indesign and Illustrator have robust find and replace tools. XD is basically a layout tool like these and this functionality should be included. Sucks that this isn't a priority.
