Hi All! Check out today's update of XD. It is version 47 and includes the ability to make any object a hyperlink. To use hyperlinks:
1. Go to Prototype mode
2. Select an object and add an interaction.
3. Choose a trigger like Tap.
4. Choose the action Hyperlink.
5. Add a destination URL.

Hyperlink functions is very important and should be added instantly. Like I want to link this site: https://macmillermerch.net/ but I cant.

Appy Pie has hyperlinks. You're losing the game, Adobe!

I am extremely disappointed that this is not available, though Adobe have had requests for this for 5 years! I will have to look at other software.

Please add external links functionality. Under review since 2016 is a long time especially when you look at the number of requests!

This is so basic for prototyping software to allow this. Catch up, Adobe.

This should be added already because this feature will help me to link this website: https://thecoachtrainingacademy.com/

100% agree, will be very helpful if Adobe XD prototypes can link external URLs or just a different XD document...

If you ever wondered why nobody uses XD this is probably one of the reasons. Under review for four years?
Next up for me: Hiding the measurements when i start to move a layer with the arrow keys.

Figma does it very well. Adobe XD must catch up! Good luck to the technical teams :)

Not impressed with Adobe here. Needed feature that seems to be non-controversial for other providers to give their users.
The solution that Ajay shares below is only working when exporting to local disk - I can't make it work the "Share" function in XD, so really difficult to weave my mockups with the other team's mockups done in Figma. Maybe I need to look into shifting platform -

Found a Solution !!!
Install the plugin Web Export available in the XD panel.
To an Image or Button give a dummy link to an empty artboard. (Name the artboard to the external link website name)
Now go to, Plugin > Web Export > Element option
In the window search Hyperlink text box. Paste the link with http://you can Choose Export option with the same plugin
On exporting it will go to the External website URL link.
