Symbol overrides are now available! Download the June release of XD today to get access to bitmap and text overrides (as well as the Apply command, which will apply your changes from the selected symbol to all other symbols).

If you don’t see the update in the Creative Cloud desktop application, click on the gear icon and select “Check for App Updates.”

  2. I really miss the (l) colorpipette/colorpicker shortcut. Because I now have too much (mouse/pen)movement to the right panel, in stead of doing all with shortcuts... This and more shortcuts from photoshop/illustrator like (z) for zoom.

You can now use spell check in the September release of XD! If you can’t see the update, select … from the Creative Cloud desktop application and select “Check for App Updates.” If you have additional suggestions for this feature, please file a separate request!

  5. In our development, the programmer needs to use the RGB value to label the color, but in this update, the version removed the RGB color information, we have to need for an additional conversion to get the results.

  6. It would be amazing if we could set spacing and padding relationships between elements and then build those relationships into a style that can be universally adjusted.

    To explain, here's a scenario:

Let's say we have a wrapper container. Inside of it we have an 400px high image that aligns to the top and spans full width across. Below is a left aligned headline that sits exactly 40px below the image. Left aligned below and 20px below the last line of the headline is a block of body copy. 40px below the last line of body copy is a button.…

You can now change the position of the border along the stroke for closed paths in the December release of Adobe XD! Check it out, and let us know what you think. If you’d like to see additional improvements to this feature, please feel free to file it as a separate ticket.

  11. To be able to use XD as a useful tool for content architecting/wireframing (before design, before prototype) - a library of generic common web and mobile web elements would be very useful (in an easily accessible panel - NOT by copying and pasting from a template file).

    For example:
    - Image/Logo (resizable) placeholder
    - Horizontal and Vertical Nav placeholder
    - Icon library (like hamburger, search, map point, etc)
    - Text block (resizable) placeholder
    - Scrollbar (horizontal, vertical) placeholder

    etc

Think Balsamiq, or OmniGraffle wireframe tools for example.

Thanks for your feedback on this! With the introduction of plugins, we now have a wide variety of plugins that will meet this need. You might want to try out the Quick Mockup plugin, which was just released. Check it out, and feel free to file a new ticket if you’re looking for more!

  12. Add a UI Kit for Mac OS X interface controls. I often do extensive prototyping of Mac application interfaces, and there needs to be a better tool than things like Keynote.

  13. Elaine, where in UserVoice should we put this request, if not here? The implementation of hide and show objects needs to be very much improved. It really needs to be like Illustrator where you can hide one object at a time but also unhide all of them. To unhide 10 hidden objects in XD, you currently have to click 10 times in the "layers" palette. When these items are near all adjacent to each other on the artboard, but all mixed up in the layers palette it is extremely frustrating. Especially when in AI it just requires one simple keystroke…

  14. It would be really nice if you can make the nudge (Shift + Arrow) work with the same size as the grid by default or add some tool to change it. I think this way we can work even faster.

For example: for an 8px grid, make the nudge 8px instead of the default 10px; for a 4px grid, nudge 4 px and so on.

Additionally, another mode could be added to make the nudge twice the size of the grid. For a 4px grid, nudge 8px.

It's the same principle as nudg.it for Sketch, but without the hassle of…

With XD 23 release, when square grid is on, nudging will align the elements to grid and move them in grid size increments.

Furthermore, now you can resize elements in grid increments by using Cmd+Shift (Alt+Shift on Win) and arrow keys.

    Happy designing!

  15. Add angular gradients -- gradients that sweep around like the hands of a clock.

(This is NOT the same as radial gradients, which are shaped like concentric circles).

Angular gradients are useful for creating progress spinners, color wheels, etc. With high contrast gradients you can also create "starburst"-style background patterns.

  16. Relative positioning in a group will allow us to create custom UI components.
Attributes such as alignment, distribute, padding and margin between two or more objects will allow flexibility to resize a group without re-arranging internal objects.

Unlike responsive behaviour, this feature does not care about artboard size, but treat a group as a mini-artboard.

In September, we released the Responsive Resize feature, which gives you both the flexibility to resize automatically as well as define the relationship between objects using constraints. Hi everyone,

just wanted to let you know, that we have just shipped the zoom tool in the July update of XD.

In addition to zooming with Alt+Mouse Scroll or Pinch-to-zoom on trackpad, you can now access the actual marquee zoom tool in the toolbar via the loupe icon (Z shortcut) or the temporary zoom like in PS and AI via SPACE+CMD, that allows you to do panning and zooming together when navigating the canvas.

    Hope you enjoy it.

Read more about the July update.

    Cheers,

    Tom (Adobe XD)

  20. Windows needs blur effects, that Mac got in May release.

I believe that Mac got blur effects before Windows, because Mac has blur integrated in the system...We would love to see blur in windows version. (I know that Windows has blur behind Action Center, and all other nice stuff but it isn't used as much as in Mac OS and iOS.) Tell me if i am wrong.

This is the only reason I do my designs of old Photoshop, using Blur effects with Clipping Masks. And it is so slow and terrible experience.
