Stroke end caps (butt, round, square/projecting caps)
You now have control over the end caps of your lines and paths. Check it out in the latest version of XD!

You can draw a rectangle with rounded edges and you can resize into a line..

It's a shame this isn't supported. All i can think of doing is making a rounded rectangle or copy pasting the right shape from illustrator.

我希望直线能有圆角功能
希望直线功能能有对线端点样式做选择的东西,比如箭头,圆角

I just checked the imported rounded cap line ends from Illustrator, and they DO appear in the mobile XD app ! Maybe they improved its functionality – just a final step before getting it in XD natively, perhaps ? (April 2018)

There is a workaround: draw a rectangle, make rounded corners, set height to 1px. Works until feature is added.

Tried to convert to using XD but was stopped immediately after trying to make first icon and symbol. There seems to be no way to edit stroke/border caps like Illustrator or Sketch. Seems like such a small detail but it sent me right back to sketch since it impeded my workflow.

Wow, this needs to be in Xd and soon. Can't properly draw UI without it.

Every time I want to create rules I have to adjust the them so they are aligned to the pixel grid. This gets pretty annoying as I do this often (as well as my team).
I understand that lines are drawn as center stroke to "snap" to the pixels (I read this on another thread). However, the ends of the line should not stop in the middle of a pixel. This causes the line ends to be off by 0.5 px.
I see the attached image to better understand what I mean.
Thanks,Elijah

This one is huge. So tired of having to draw all of my lines in AI and then copy them over just to get a rounded stroke cap.

Yes, like Illustrator. I find the current lack of this option very frustrating.

For icon design, this is a must have for me. I'm very frustrated right now, not having this. And I can't even copy/paste from Figma or Sketch into XD :(

Rounded ends of strokes do not show in the XD app, to reproduce do the following:
1) Make a stroke in Illustrator with rounded ends
2) Import the line into XD on say a mobile artboard.
3) View the artboard on the mobile app and viola! No rounded end.So you can't see how your lines would look with realism.

Put two lines meeting at one point in a 'V' shaped formation, at 90 degrees - impossible to overlap the lines correctly at the apex point.
Snapping places the end points of the lines misaligned by 1/2 pixel.
