What happened to tunda-image plug-in (image import via URL)?

It doesn't show in plug-in search any longer and seems there's no alternative.
Essential for users with DAMs.

This seems to be an external developer not associated with Adobe. Look if he’s on twitter and maybe reach out to see if he proceeds supporting it.
