Direct shortcuts for tabs/workspaces (Design/Prototype/Share)
I used to cycle intensively and seamlessly between the Design and Prototype tabs with CTRT+TAB. Hundreds of time a day. It was easy, logical, productive.
But now the Share tab came alongside them. While sharing is crucial, it is not designing. Using CTRL+TAB now forces me constantly through the sharing mode, followed by an extra CTRL+TAB. Hundreds of time a day. It is pure repetitive noise for me.
I suggest any of these 2 simple solutions:
1 - Adding a direct shortcut for the tabs (eg: OPTION+1, OPTION+2, OPTION+3);
2 - Removing the Share mode as a tab alongside the design tabs, leaving them two in the original powerful toggle;
I have already posted and voted on similar issues, and I can only hope that someone at Adobe could simply test the use case of switching tabs with CTRL+TAB while designing.
We now have this available to you! https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/user-guide.html/xd/help/keyboard-shortcuts.ug.html

Hi, We have solved this issue as of XD 32. Press Alt+1 (Windows) or ⌥+1 (macOS) for Design mode, Alt/⌥+2 for Prototype mode, and Alt/⌥+3 for Share mode.

The Share tab is just another extreme example of indecisive interface design.
It's a silly entry to a feature which doesn't even belong in that cluster of two tabs.
And it spoils the swift use of keystrokes to toggle between Design and Prototype.All this mess with hamburger (or dotted) icons and scattered tabs in stead of normal menus, is due to a Microsoft interface innovation called UWP https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/. One of its intentions is to hide menus and prevent clutter. Which doesn't work because now we see tabs and panels popping up everywhere, re-inventing various menu systems which they tried so hard to get rid of...

I would really like to have any feedback from Adobe, I've made numerous submissions on this topic without a single idea in return ... it's been a real pain using XD this way.

Hi Elaine, it seems to be another side-effect of the Ctrl-Tab linear switcher:
- for Steve, it has to do with going directly to the Share mode, when he wants to.
- for me, it is about being constantly forced through the Share tab, while cycling between Design and Prototype.I believe both could be solved with a suggestion i've made - direct shortcuts for tabs/workspaces:
https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/39128170-direct-shortcuts-for-tabsI really hope you could have a look at this situation!

Move the Share tab back to the right so it is closer to the Share panel.
I have not used Ctrl+Tab to get back and forth... I start using that. Thanks! -

If only there were standard menu items for the tabs/workspaces, I would build custom MacOS shortcuts for it, ... it is so simple and yet so painful for my process ...

Just downgraded to XD 23, where I can finally jump between Design and Prototype ... I can't understand why it got broken ...

I have already posted and voted on other posts about a somewhat similar issue, which is switching tabs with CTRL+TAB, forcing through the new Share tab.

I share often to see my design results. The share UI and share tab are now far apart so it has become a very frustrating workflow to go back and forth between tabs and the share UI panel. And there doesn't seem to be a keyboard shortcut to share that works (I'm on a PC).
