We looked into this, and the version of Sketch that this was created in was too old for XD to open. You should save it in a more recent version of Sketch before opening it in XD. Hope that helps!

I'm seeing same problem, so I tried to open Sketch file directly in XD and I see more details: "This file was created with an older version of Sketch. Please open and save this file in the latest version of Sketch and then try again."
Try a new opening file in latest Sketch and saving a local copy.
