Poor quality exporting at 1x
Since the last update while we export at 1x (png, jpeg or whatever) the quality is very poor.
Please fix it as soon as possible!

This sounds like a bug to me, as we haven’t changed anything in this area of the code. Could you please file a ticket in our Community Forums so that our customer support team can escalate it? https://community.adobe.com/t5/Adobe-XD/bd-p/xd

So it's April 2022 now... Does adobe have any idea when this will be fixed? There are a few tickets already related to this topic already but no real permanent fix.
My only suggestion would be to enlarge the image selection on the actual design before you export it as a PNG or JPG. Also another work around that others had suggested was to export the image selection as a PDF first then a PNG and then somehow miraculously it becomes a better quality image. This seems to work for some, but it's just a temporary fix... -

I have the same issue. I don't think I has this problem before. It's a pretty recent thing.

This is really dissapointing. I can't show these images to my clients, whagt the hell? The text looks all blurry and ugly. Why are you doing this to us?
