The column width for the filename is too narrow and cannot be resized. Nor can the dialog window be resized.
This usability issue of finding files is significant when working on many files from many clients.
Also, consider adding a file search feature in the dialog.

When using XD, I'm often switching between different design files. Over the last few months, updates to XD have made it so certain features are not available if you choose to save locally vs. a cloud file - which has pretty much forced all of my files to be Cloud.
I use a mac and I normally open files quickly by using Cmd + Space and typing out the name. Because all my files need to be on the cloud, I can't search for them anymore.
Using the File > Open UI to open files is not intuitive. I have folders for each project, my file names are longer so they usually are truncated and my thumbnails aren't a dead giveaway. Switching between the two view options of "Grid" or "List" doesn't help either. The list view has too many columns with irrelevant info like "Date Modified" and "Size" so I can't ready any of the file names
This modal also can't be resized so I usually use the Creative Cloud app open just to access my files. This is very inconvenient.
My request: Improve the UI of the File > Open view of XD to be more intuitive.

Please give a search while opening a file. Also if i have opened it earlier please make a catche or some link so iit would not load everytime. The process bar irritates when everytime it searches for cloud files and all, earlier it was quiet nice, please rollback with a search.

We have hundreds of files on our team of 7. It's near impossible to quickly locate files. Even with a structured naming convention, sorting and trying to find is still a pain.
Adobe Max 2020 was all about hyping collaboration. They clearly have not spent any time with a UX team of 3+ designers who actually do production work. (Lack of ability to co-owner documents for publishing is another massive issue. See https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007-adobe-xd-feature-requests/suggestions/38308750-change-owner-of-cloud-document)
Adobe is 11.7 Billion dollar company and we spend thousands on Adobe licenses. How about take the money you paid celebrities for Adobe Max and invest in basic team collaboration tools like file search and change ownership of files.

Not sure how the cloud documents got released without a basic search function.

It's really a big problem for now if you have more than 100 cloud documents.
Request you to please bring this feature quickly, it will really help a lot. -

Hi,
What I found is XD need a search bar option on the cloud document window. It's okay if someone has fewer docs, but when it's more than 100 it's difficult for search document.

Sorry, I want to let you know that my company is considering moving to Figma,
since XD has no search in files. This is crazy! When will that happen and how come it's not available already? -

Hello! It would be very useful to have a project browser when opening a new file :)

I would use this almost every time I want to open a cloud document. I have stayed away from saving documents to the cloud because of this.

There should be a search or at least filter input field on the XD home screen for finding documents.
At this point I have hundreds of cloud documents in the "shared with you" tab, and I can never find what I'm looking for because there's just too many items.
I can find my own cloud documents in Creative Cloud's own search, but this does not include documents that have been shared with me.

In all the parts of this "start panel" have a search available to find quickly what you want because it could be a mess when you work with a big team.
- For shared files
- For cloud document
- And all the other parts we can have files -

Grouping files into a folder is nice but can we have a search function for all our cloud documents

I constantly watch that people can't find their cloud files. Users have to remember which file they own, and which one is a shared file (the tab filter is kind of confusing)
A solution might be to see all my cloud files together and see who the owner is with a tag or something.
Another solution is to add a search on the top to quickly find my cloud file.
Thanks!

From my experience, you are able to search Cloud Documents. However, you can't do anything with them except open them when you find them.
Also, you can't search Shared With Me, so there's no way for anyone on the team except the owner of a document to really organize or find Documents.Honestly, I'd prefer to see the Share With Me incorporated directly into the same area as those documents I own. It's nice to have an indicator that they are Shared With Me rather than my own, but ultimately, if I'm working on several documents in a project, I want to see them all together; regardless of who on the team first saved them to the cloud.

In Adobe XD I am missing search cloud file feature. When we have to search any file on the cloud via adobe xd. For example, if you are editing any xd file and you want to jump to some other file then it is not possible to find on the cloud. for that you need to go to creative cloud and from there you need to find the file then open it in XD.
It will be good if any search bar is available.
