Return path to original shape if converted accidentally
accidental double clicks turn my rectangles into editable paths, then if i click the path point and realize i double clicked ( instead of single click) I press undo, but at that point undo will not turn the path back to a rectangle every time. so the shape remains a path, I feel like there should be a better (more accident proof) option to turn the shape to a path

Hello XD-Team,
I'm kind of annoyed that a double click automaticly transforms rectangle forms to path forms, because they loose their ability to form corners. I often klick multible times on an combined object to come to its deeper layers, which leads to constantly transforming the background areas to pathes by accident. If you could find an other solution to transform those would be really great! In my opinion the transform feature is not important enough to justify that this happens by accident so often. I sometimes just don't realize the transformation and have to replace the areas later again by rectangle forms. -

Its mid 2022 and this problem is not fixed, it's causing us a lot of headaches. Please Adobe remove this, nobody wants it and it only creates problems.

When you will fix this Adobe? Come on

How is this not fixed yet?
I wonder what sort of 'logic' was spinning in the UX designer head for this 'feature'. This 'feature' is junior-level thinking, and the fact that someone from adobe xd senior team accepted this as a valid option blows my mind.

I thought this was a bug. It certainly feels like one.

Can you please turn off this functionality - this is so useless and extremely annoying. Plus there is a shortcut for turning shapes into paths and I am pretty sure that is enough. The amount of situations when I had to redo shapes because I accidentally double clicked on it (when trying to get to a multi grouped object) is tremendous. Once again it is a stupid functionality TURN IT OFF please. I got emotional ;)

Yes, this is so annoying. Really unprofessional.

I hate when this happens, more so when it happens in a component and when you resize it goes all wonky
It'd be nice to convert things to shape using a button and not a double click -

That's a serious problem for me, too. Once the conversion has occurred accidentally and the file is saved you'll never have the chance to revert it.

Im having trouble with rounding borders. After sometime, the option to round a border/corner of an object is gone and that is because of the double click to path feature.
I'd like to be able to still edit my object's border radius/roundness even after it is set to path OR be able to roll back an object from Path to normal previous to path state at any point in time.My team and I are having a very hard time with not being able to round our object's borders after we have made multiple changes to that object/file.

How come they still haven't fixed this issue?
sometimes double clicking a rectangle doesn't convert from path to its original shape.
I wanna be able to keep the border-radius(rounding corners) feature to stay active even after I convert something to path.
This is so frustrating. ADOBE FIX THIS SH*T. -

This is a serious pain. The double-click to convert to path causes a lot more problems than it solves - no need for it!

Same!!! Please fix!!

Errr, agreed. Auto convert on a double click seems counter-intuitive and causes me to have to recreate lots of boxes...
