Shared XD libraries
Need to share Adobe XD assets library to other CC users. Not only Illustrator CC libraries, but XD colors/fonts/symbols lybraries. It's a must!
Hi everyone,
With XD May release, now you could create a single source of truth for all your colors, character styles, and components in an XD cloud document and reuse all your assets in your XD documents.
With the linked assets feature, you can easily share and consume not only components — or what was formerly known as symbols — but colors and character styles as well. This is incredibly handy if you are sharing sticker sheet with your team or reuse design elements across projects.
Linked Assets complement the workflow of linked components. When you modify a linked asset in the source document, all the consuming documents with those linked assets receive update notifications. From there, you can choose preview and accept the updates.
Please give it a try and let’s us know what you think

Shared libraries is such a necessary feature, not just for individuals but also teams. In addition, having an integrated method of source control would really put the icing on the cake. I'm always reaching for Sketch first, just because its more familiar, but little by little, I'm using XD here and there.
Also, not that I don't like getting XD for free, but shared libraries + source control is where I cross into "paid pro version" land. I really like what Abstract is doing with Sketch... once they get XD working, my money is shifting in that direction.
Just found this little link too... whatever happened to the XD feature being proposed in Adobe Max 2016! That was version control for XD proposed back in 2016!!!

This would be awesome, so Im not having to switch to illustrator to add it to my library every time for our style guides

I've got one arm tied behind my back without Shared Libraries for a team of XD users.

For teams working in collaboration, this is a MUST HAVE!! Wondering why this has been overlooked.
Team Adobe, please provide support for the same. -

I agree , we need library share possible on Adobe XD for design systems among team members and teams.

It is a must have. It is impossible to work with XD files as a team without library support for shared symbols. Not to mention Design System. Are you going to work on this, Adobe?

My team would like to use Adobe XD for our prototyping, but we really need to be able to add, remove, rename and organise assets within a shared library between us.
Some kind of version control would be nice. Like being able to view history or a change log for an asset, or having library 'owners' who can accept amendments from collaborators.

Sometimes I want to use the seam elements in different Projects, but I have to open 2 projects, select, copy, paste what I need . It seems to be stupid.

Adobe, please get on this request! XD blows Sketch away for the most part, but not having shared libraries is a huge deal breaker.
My company's digital practice wants to make XD the tool of choice for creating products. We can't do this unless sharing libraries is a feature.

This is a huge deal for teams who work in other offices. We use Sketch Libraries in daily basis and it works like a charm. If Adobe can pull this off (which I think they can do it for obvious reasons) it would be great for the community and when you look at the way they are improving XD, it looks like this is the next thing they will be rolling out.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Sharing XD assets between XD documents is a must. There is so much talk these days about Design Systems, Living Styleguides etc, yet XD makes it virtually impossible to keep styles in a large project up to date and consistent. I have currently two large projects. I've been working on these for almost 3 years now. Each of these projects has at the moment around 30 XD documents with multiple artboards (each document is a separate module/flow). It's a lot of struggle to keep styles in all these documents synced. At a certain point, I created a Styles Master file and was copying the artboards there when there was a time for the style sync, This solution is, however far from acceptable because such a workflow messes up with the project documentation on Confluence (spec links not working, because designs moved to a new document).

Please fix the shared libraries to work with Adobe XD.... "As a UX Designer I need the ability to create shared symbol libraries across teams using Adobe XD. Every designer should be able to create, edit and publish using shared symbols and libraries." Thanks!

My manager asked me to set up a shared library for our team. We all will be using XD for building similar products and multiple teams. We have 4-5 UX designers on staff building different products. I know you can do it Adobe!
"Would like to determine if Adobe XD will be able to provide a cloud-based library for the design team to access to speed up the design process.
Optimally this design system would allow designers to update a component, upload it to the shared library, and any instance of that component used in another designer's file will be automatically updated. I think you're the only designer with an Adobe CC seat."

The ability to add elements to a shared library much like Sketch. There's already CC Libraries would love to see the ability to manage a library from within XD, add, remove, rename and organise.
Feels like it could be docked like the symbols panel allowing you to drag assets from a shared library straight onto an artboard.
I can see it almost replacing symbols as a way of managing reusable design elements.

I will add, more than just sharing to other CC users, I need to access the libraries from other files (even just myself). Yes, copy/paste works...but always having the master open/trying to find the piece you're looking for/flipping back and forth could be less annoying lol.

I can't believe this only has 25 votes right now! Sketch has a passable version of this, InVision is starting to build it with DSM, and Adobe could *kill* it. Fingers-crossed they're working on it!
