Position overlays using the Keyboard arrow
Positioning an overlay is really approximate as it only works by using the mouse, without any indication of its position. Whether it is the distance from the artboard edges, or to other existing elements on the artboard.
Would be great to be able to move an overlay using the keyboard arrow for better accuracy, as well as being able to toggle the overlay position by pressing "alt" (as this already exists in design mode)
Thanks guys!

I'm disappointed by the lack of control over overlays and lack of activity in updates regarding this issue.
Pinning overlay to a specific object is also needed. For example - dropdown menu pinned to the actual dropdown. Otherwise the placement doesn't work at all with scrollable screens.

It would be great if you could position an overlay below any layer/layer group on an artboard, so that you could slide a menu from below a header or side bar.

Is there just one developer on the XD team? Why is it taking so long?

#1 need >>> Please add. Getting this specific ask from clients that adding new pages is causing a unrealistic output.

Yes, overlays that scroll with the design are a must! Please move this into development @Adobe!

+1 on this. Specially 3. ( The ability to anchor overlays to scroll with content below it.)

I second this, please. It'd be nice to prototype overlays outside of the viewport.

It would be nice to allow overlays to start with the page (No Animation, No Click) so we could use it to create menus without having to create all the links on every single page where we put them.

#2. Placing overlays with pixel precision on the artboard via keybord, inputing X,Y coordinates and snapping to grid/other objects.

Also, would be great to have overlays utilize smart guides in respect to content on artboard..

Yes, please. Especially #1. It should be possible to place the overlays anywhere on the view.

Overlays are a fantastic addition to XD, and I thought these additions would be a great way to expand on the freedom overlays give us:
1. Ability to place overlays on any area of the artboard, including below/above the main view port and off the the side (partially on the artboard)
2. Advanced positioning for overlay placement (i.e. nudging with keyboard)
3. The ability to anchor overlays to scroll with content below it.
4. Not directly related to overlays, but I would like to see the ability to control the location of the top and bottom of the viewport (i.e. To position the top and bottom guides of the viewport to allow unseen content above the viewport) -

Love the overlays but totally need that feature!
