Please get this into development. Or at least allow co-editors of the same cloud document to publish links and not just the owner.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I think this has enough backing to get the feature out of backlog and into development. I think multiple people should be able to manage links and push to shared links across users.

    Ideas: Create User Groups "Team":

    - Owner/Admin ability to add Adobe Users to "Team", grant them access / permission to shared links and other possible member management
    - Team member with permission allowed to update/revise links across "Team"
    - Owner/Admin ability to Manage users in that "Team"
    - Ability to comment as "Team" or individual user on prototypes

Yes, please fix this issue. Right now I have to unmask objects for developers to be able to inspect the contents of the masked object.

Yes, this is annoying. Please fix this ideally, but remove broken variable names otherwise. I had a developer ask me about this. Abeit they should be able to load web fonts themselves without generated code, but it just makes my life harder to explain that they shouldn't really follow the CSS generated by Adobe XD because it's unreliable and to take it with a grain of salt.

I agree - image optimization needs to be enhanced so we don't need to compress further with other programs. I exported some banner ads from XD. For a test I opened that image in PS and exported for web and saved over 60% of the file size with the same file format and high quality to max. I also use ImageOptim regularly to help optimize again if needed.

    Hi All -

Can you please detail out what’s your current workflow today in XD that lands you into that situation?

In other words, are the documents that you’re pasting into linked to the source document? are they “Saved As” versions of the source documents.

This extra info will help us identify what the issue is.

    Thanks,
    Sherif

Ok, here are my issues with master and instance components, which I believe others are having this issue with, is the flexibility of them.

    -- Use Case --

I've created a master component for a resource card with hover and active states, and I want to have multiple cards that may have different types, colors, names, etc. I use the base master and create instances of the component to make these different type cards, all based off the master component.

My co-designer then wants to move these modified instance resource cards to another XD file for a second version of the designs using the new resource card designs that were approved by the client, keeping the same changes and states that were modified.

    -- Current issues I've encoutered --

If I copy modified components into another version of an XD design document, they revert to the master component and I or my team member has to re-do them. We cannot resolve it other than manually redoing the work we just did.

--Solution to issues I've thought of --

    A. The instance should retain the modifications and not revert to the master component.

    B. Give the user a notification/option to convert the modified component as a new master component in the new document.

    C. Give the ability to create new master components from modified instance components, keeping all states and modifications as a new master component in the current document, and then can be brought over without issue.

Thanks in advance for your time and consideration in this update/feature to XD.

    - Mike

This is needed so badly. It's super annoying and tedious to have to make multiple versions and alterations of an instance component for states and interactions to show clients, and when an option is chosen, we have to go and re-create the one chosen if it's not the master component.

I agree, give us the choice to keep links. Our team routinely makes backups and changes file names outside of the program. Those links should remain intact, and we should be able to manage the links by ourselves. There are times where we want to update the same prototype link, or share a new link but be able to go back to the previous link. For example - I want to share updates with internal team before sharing with client, but do it within one file.

I've come across the same issue packaging for development specs, a developer just asked this question and had the same issue where they need to manually edit the svg class. Can we get the choice in how SVGs are exported with dev specs - so we can choose inline, or fix the auto class naming convention so it's generated randomly for each different icon/svg?

Your case styles don't work correctly between mac and windows. My team member has the newest version of XD on windows and when he opens the file created from mac the case style doesn't work for him. I hope this helps get this issue fixed. He can't change between them.

Can we be able to clone comments from review prototype to dev prototype?

This is a needed feature to be able to generate better design spec files for developers. Going through design iterations, and adding imagery, then duplicating boards for interaction workflows, you quickly keep adding unnecessary export files, and there should be an easier way to manage the export list, quickly unselect all and choose the right ones for final export to dev specs

How has this not been upvoted more?! This is super annoying as you update and paste items on a design board, then you have to select all navigation that should remain at the top and being to front.

Yes, overlays that scroll with the design are a must! Please move this into development @Adobe!
