Embed fonts for 'untethered' mobile preview from Creative Cloud
Would be nice if fonts were embedded into the XD file. If not you aren't able to preview the app design with the correct font from iOS or android when syncing from creative cloud.
This is something we’re currently investigating. Stay tuned!

Is there any way to install Material Icon font on Android device in order to be rendered in XD mobile preview?

This was flagged as 'under review' in February 2017 -- has there been any movement in the interim 2.5 years? This is not a 'nice to have' feature but a workflow essential that contributes significantly to the calculus of XD's viability as a professional design tool

This is essential for my workflow. My company operates in an Android-dominated market, and uses proprietary typefaces. Currently there's no way for our partners to accurately view mobile prototypes without either compromising the fonts or grabbing an iPhone and installing the fonts themselves. Disappointing.

+1 for this or similar solution. Needed to be able to use client custom fonts.

Unbelievable how adobe ignores its clients. This is not a silly desirable feature, it is a must if you are working on any high-end project.

WE STILL NEED THAT.

Unless I'm viewing my prototype directly on the local computer it was built, or have my mobile device tethered, any letter spacing in my designs breaks on remote, web or cloud-based previews. Even with font syncing, some fonts don't render the letter spacing on an iPad, for instance, claiming the fonts are missing and thus reverting the font to a fallback. This often breaks the typography, stripping out font weights as well, which can really negatively impact the design for stakeholders during reviews. I can't always be presenting on my local machine, but also I don't want to be restricted in my typographic choices based on what cloud documents render remotely.

This seems insane... Seriously. I am now in the stupid position that my designer uses this and we can't properly test the layouts.... I finally found a good designer and have to ditch then and there xd..
Surely Adobe have run tests and experience this? Are you saying this is not important for mockups? I think you may have missed the community... -

I stayed tuned since 2017 and like to give XD a try again, but now my first experience was that missing-font-thing again. I don't understand why Adobe is not fixing this since 2017. For me, the he preview is useless without showing the correct fonts. Do I have to change to Sketch again? Puuh ……

Yeah what’s the point of the app without this? At least make it so you can sync adobe fonts!!!

I would really love this feature. Honestly, it's a must-have; there's no point in Live Preview if this layout is incorrect because the font isn't loading. It's a huge issue and a real dealbreaker for using the product. Thanks!

This is the number one issue for me - the whole prototype concept is being able to demo on device. Especially when using universal google fonts - nothing fancy.

No fonts in mobile prototype? Really? :(

This is not a "nice to have" feature, this is an absolute requirement. I mean, how embarrassing was it that I whipped out my phone to show a design animation to a superior, and what did I see... A Missing Fonts dialogue! On top of that, how am I supposed to do any user testing? Tethering to a laptop is NO GOOD in a user testing environment.
This really is "stick your head in the sand" stuff, here. Come on, Adobe!
