I guess this is still an issue, Oct'18 :/

PDF export options please! Some clients still prefer marking up PDFs and current ones are basically unusable due to the uncompressed sizes.

I can share a link but my bosses are rather conservative and prefer to watch the design as pdf. Please reduce file size so I can share it with them.

I really liked the program, but without PDF export options, I can't use it seriously. This is a complete WRENCH in the works, and the sole reason I will stop using it.

Sad to see that the Sept 2018 update still does not address the HUGE file sizes.

4 pages = 194MB!!!!!!!!
And why can't you copy and paste vectors from XD to Illustrator? This would be the quickest and most logical way to copy and paste my artboard to replicate it to another program but you can't... it pastes a pixelated version

Please, make our lives easier! Let us have lighter PDFs!

Is obvious WHY people complain about needing this pdf feature. Please, add it!!!!

Please add this feature! The inability to export as a small file size is making me revert back to InDesign.....and I *really* don't want to go back there :-)

This is ridiculous.

I even tried using Acrobat Pro and Mac Preview to reduce file size after, and neither of those options work either. I've used those options in the past many times on documents far larger that the one I'm working on with XD to great effect.

Theres something embedded within the PDF from XD that makes it impossible to apply compression to later on using a 3rd party program.
These designs are pretty simple. Mostly SVGs and Vector art, with some JPGs and PNGs embedded as well, but nothing out of the ordinary for an app design, let alone a website which frequently uses far more images and pngs.

I don't understand what's causing the bloat, but theres definitely a problem when Adobe Acrobat still can't compress the images further after export.

Starting to notice too many problems in this app to take is seriously for web design.

Small Size pdf please!

A 12 page website just exported to 215mb. I've noticed this happens when using JPGs within the artboards. Removing all jpgs exports to a super lightweight 500kb file. Exporting functionality in XD needs improving ASAP (including jpg and png exports that look incredibly pixelated, but that's for another thread).

Same request here... Light-weight the app made me sure that exporting PDF will be as light as it enables me to communicate and share designs to managers and customers via email.. Please, Consider this request as an Urgent one.

Projects with multiple pages are very large when exported as PDFs. I usually use the prototype online, but sometimes I need a PDF version, but PDFs created on adobe xD are too big. Having the choice between several PDF export settings would be interesting.

I love the fact that I can export as PDF, but the file size makes the end result of that export completely unusable with clients. The quality on PDF export is significantly better than PNG, but file size is a restriction to using it. Definitely need compression option to make this usable.

This is needed for reasons such as management portals that have limited space to upload designs, avoid exceeding size limit when emailing - Can we just have the option to export as pdf with the 'Adobe PDF preset option' we currently use in Illustrator creating PDF/X-1a

I like how light-weight the app is, but export features are a sure disappointment given the intended purpose of the app.
