PDF Export - compression options to reduce file size
Exported PDF are too big. Please add compression options like InDesign.
As of XD version 26, exported PDF file size is down by up to 90%, while retaining the current quality level.
Thank you for all your feedback!

WPS Compress PDF Online (https://pdf.wps.com/compress-pdf-online/?utm_source=organicbl) supports 3 compression ratios (HD, Recommended, Smallest). You can choose one ratio based on your requirements to compress your file while maintaining high quality.

This seems ridiculous that this feature exists in all other adobe programs but not this one.

Good Lord, Adobe. Why can't you just give people the same PDF options available in EVERY SINGLE OTHER ADOBE APP. Why can't we compress these with our own settings? Why is the PDF you created so massive that any app that opens it chokes and Acrobat just gives me the most stupid message saying "The dimensions of this page are out of range", so I can't even reduce the file size in your own freaking application. How on earth in this day and age of large format printing etc can you have any kind of limitation on the document size?

This is terrible... Especially considering how much we pay for it every moth. This issue is a BIG ISSUE and still hasn't been resolved...

Great programme all round althought the PDF export compression is massively inconvenient. File sizes are extremely large and unshareable with no options to reduce file size on export. Often having to export jpeg and place in another adobe programme. It needs a setting similar to indesign/illustrator.

I don't understand why the PDF export doesn't work like every other Adobe app—where's menu of export options that can be set, saved, etc?
PS: It appears it's applying some kind of output color profile that doesn't match the input. My company has a very specific green swatch that looks dull—almost like a cmyk conversion, when I export as a PDF from XD.

PDF - export files too big in size -
Unfortunately I must to agree with many other responders; exported pdf files are still to big.
It looks like nothing has changed or is added to this issue. There should be some setting tools to specify the pdf size. Please, open these feature again... -

Still huge file size. I would say another 180% reduce in file size would be perfect.

Stil an issue in my opinion. Export to PDF in illustrator with 'Smalles size' settings is getting me around 3 mb but with XD the same design export results in a 9 mb PDF file.

This is not complete. Still large PDF files.
There are no options for PDF export. How about at least 2.
1. High-Quality Print.
2. View for Web. -

Still having issues with this. My current project only has 6 art boards, the exported PDF is 58MB. Optimizing with Adobe Acrobat only brings it down to 53MB - still way too large.
My artboards are not that long and the vast majority of the images are the same image repeated or re-used. At this stage I've only developed around 25% of the artboards that will eventually need to be created so I'm concerned about how I'm going to be able to share them with my client for proofing.

This is definately NOT working. I've exported a document with about 12 artboards with smaller images on then and the resulting file is huge, 16MB? I did a test and if I export the entire 12 artboard to 80% quality JPG files I only get 2.5MB. If I export all the artboards as PNG image I get a total of 16MB, so you are probably exporting all images as PNG, instead of honouring the original format, or even giving us an option to export to JPG instead of PNG and/or quality. Hmm... Most of these features are available in your other tools.

This is like the MOST annoying feature of XD, considering they are the creators of PDF, Illustator, and Indesign and Acrobat DC that all have options to reduce file size. Except you can't reduce this file in DC, it refuses, no matter what setting I pick - I'm discarding all objects and also compressing image to 72dpi. One PDF page, with two images on it is 4MB??? WOW Adobe.

It would also be nice to be able to change the filename when exporting.

@Victor; A pdf of 1,5 Gb is huge indeed. Does your project contains many images? Or are some images of high resolution?
