Default Transition Setting or Global Application of Transition Effect
As a user who needs to present UX ideas quickly to stakeholders, I would like there to be a way for me to set a default transition setting of my choice at both the file and application level.
I've found myself creating a complicated matrix of targets, only to realize that the last 20 I did (or was it 30?) have the application, default 'slide left' when yesterday, I had everything set up for my 0.1 second dissolve without an ease out.
ALT:
If not a preference setting, the ability to apply a transition globally to all targets.
Thanks everyone. Great job on a very useful product.

Option to set/adjust all animation speeds (perhaps even easing mode too) project-wide/globally.

I see "preferences" as a greyed out option in the program dropdown menu. It's been like that for at least a year. It seems like the app is getting complex enough to warrant some personal controls! Will we ever get a preferences menu?
At the very least, it's awkward to have an option in a menu that is greyed out and will never NOT be greyed out. Maybe remove it until we have prefs?

I mean everyone should be able set their defaults in the whole program. Maybe also specifically in a project
Plus to that.
The window with settings of a transition(or any kind) is not showing entirely on my laptop screen and it's uncomfotable to scroll it.Thanks again
BTW I'm using WIN

I'm tired of always setting up a duration of a transition (from one page to another) to 0
Thankyou!

I have a lot of links in the project I'm working on. By default, the links in prototype mode transition on tap, dissolve, and ease out for 0.3 seconds. When I change the options on one of the links, all of the subsequently created links automatically inherit the new options. I like that feature because it keeps me from having to manually edit hundreds of links. However, when I close and reopen my file, I sometimes forget to change the options and the new links I create use the default settings again. Now I have some transitions that dissolve and some that do not. Please allow me to select all links and change all their settings at once, or allow me to change the default link setting.

XD version 12.0.12.10
1. Create four art boards w/ an object on each.
2. Switch to Prototype mode and create a link between the object on artboard 1 to artboard 2.
3. Set the transition animation to None.
4. Create a link from the object on artboard 2 to artboard 3.
5. Notice that the transition type is still set to None.
6. Save and exit XD.
7. Restart XD and create a prototype link between the object on artboard 3 to artboard 4.
8. Notice that the transition animation type has reverted to Dissolve.Expected behavior: The transition animation type of None should persist across editing sessions.

preferences is an essential, just like every other cc app has...
it's been over a 2 years since the first complaint on Adobe forums about the lack of preferences in XD....
(https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2119578)avoidable actions such as changing or removing a transition for every navigation is very frustrating and inefficient for the XD user
please add some preferences, even if not all items can be set, at least something????

It would be fantastic if it were possible to change the animation behavior of all of the artboards at once (e.g. switch all from dissolve to none). This would allow us to quickly change the feel of simple prototypes without painstakingly clicking each wire in the artboard.

For example, the default is always "Dissolve". It would be nice to be able to set the default to "None" or one of the other options.

I think it would be great to create a preference setup much like Illustrator or Photoshop or InDesign, etc. Basically, leverage what you know from other Adobe products and integrate into XD. I would say, not just look at this for one category, but you can cover a whole host of categories with this. I do think this needs more detail in terms of exactly what goes into the preferences. But there are multiple feature requests that can be resolved with preferences for all the categories (01-09). You really need to step up the game as your competitors are way ahead of you, and put into question why I should pay $52.99/month when others are about that for one year and in InVisions case, they are a free app that is what you wish you could be. I do love abode, but it seems like they aren't paying much attention to their users.

Have an option to have project wide transitions.
A little drop down in the prototyping panel that sets the default transition for all slides.
Instead of having to go though and changing them all halfway through, or after finishing the project.

I would like to set global values/behaviors for various things in the preferences. What I can think of right now:
DESIGN
- Default text line spacing/leading (like on Illustrator/Indesign)PROTOTYPE
- Default transition duration (0,2 s, 0,4 s ....) -
