Align to key object
One of the most convenient alignment features in illustrator is the 'align to key object', which Sketch doesn't support, making it difficult to align objects quickly. Please add that feature for XD.

I have been missing this feature and is very much needed to create pixel perfect web designs. Please add this feature to the product.

Yes please, you got it right in AI, missing it here.

Very VERY needed… please Adobe… we need precision.
Aligning to a specific object like in Illustator or Indesign is critical for layout design. -

As a Designer with fine motor challenges, the ability to use 'align to key object' is essential to keeping my ideas flowing onto the screen. This is a major accessibility feature and should be considered.

I want this feature right now. This tool changed Illustrator for me years ago, and I never looked back.

Please add this.

Yes please! As below, the Illustrator align to key object interaction would be perfect in XD. This is one of the most obvious gaps in the system thus far - really looking forward to it being implemented!

Please add this guys.

BTW...I love the way AI implements this...select objects (including key object) > click object you want to be key again > boom, alignment works.

THIS x1000. It's really hard to know which object will be treated as "key object" when you're trying to align elements. Theoretically, you could use the smart guides...but they don't always track the element you're trying to align to, so that doesn't always work.
It would be really helpful...maybe even necessary-level for me...to set your own "key object" (a la Illustrator). Even in PS you opt-click the layer you want to align to, and use that selection to align against. I easily use this a hundred times daily.

Please! I can't for the life of me figure out the alignment behavior. It seems to be random.

How is this soo far down the vote list!? This is one of the first things I noticed that Xd needed. Align in general is a bit shaky in Xd. I would like to be able to align to key object & page without making a box that spans the width of the page/desired align area.

@corey Luicer
Yes I can set X and Y position, what I am talking about the "origin" as @sylvester Aryee is mentioned. Currently the X position always starts from top left. There is no way to change that. -
Sylvester Aryee commented
Yh, x and y coordinates already exist however the ability to select the 'origin' is missing. And a HUGE +1 for Key Object Alignment.

Corey Lucier (Adobe) commented
But you can already set x and y positions right? And there are alignment tools as well, agree that aligning to key would be a nice addition.

Those who have worked with adobe illustrator would miss those great features for aligning the objects, defining the x,y positions etc. After using illustrator for years I find most of the UX tools like sketch and Xd have very limited tools making a good layout. I think adding those features would improve really improve the existing work flow.
