Thanks for the feedback. In this instance you are correct, the shortcut mechanism for cropping an image fill doesn't allow the image fill itself to be transformed independent of the shape.

You could instead use mask with shape. Drag the image to the canvas, mask with a rectangle, then drill down by double clicking into the mask group and rotate your image there.

Thanks for your feedback! There are some triggers (like time and voice) that are only applicable to artboards, and not objects themselves. There are other animation types that are only applicable to one and the other. Does that help explain things? Or are you looking for something else?

AdminCorey Lucier (Adobe) (Admin, Adobe) commented  ·

Please elaborate. There are certain animation types that don't or can't apply to sub-elements currently, just artboards for example, like auto-animate. Same for timed transitions. So these are grayed out when not applicable.

I would say no, not in the immediate future. Can you share what hardware you are using and why this is imperative for you?

Apparently this is happening to quite a few other apps. It seems some users have had success turning off automatic graphics switching as a workaround. Not sure of course how great of an experience you'll have if you can't switch to the discrete GPU but report back if that helps avoid the crash regardless.

AdminCorey Lucier (Adobe) (Admin, Adobe) commented  ·

Lastly @Christian, can you tell us your hardware info from the Overview tab of the Apple->About This Mac dialog? Looking to see what hardware and Graphics adapters you have. Thanks!

AdminCorey Lucier (Adobe) (Admin, Adobe) commented  ·

@Christian, if by chance you are feeling brave... Apple has already fixed another issue we reported to them with 10.14.4 but it's fixed in 10.14.5 Beta 1. So if you wanted to try that out to see if it helps in any way, you'd have to temporarily opt-in to Apple beta seed program. Not something I'd advise unless you are use to early adopting their updates.

AdminCorey Lucier (Adobe) (Admin, Adobe) commented  ·

Thank you for letting us know. We have reported this issue to Apple and they are looking into it. Definite seems to be a regression on their driver layer with AMD GPUs.

Please elaborate. The preview window is in fact at 100% unless the entirety of the design doesn't fit on screen. For web-sized artboards I would recommend introducing a scroll viewport to your artboard that what the content will be at full fidelity and you can scroll to view the entire page - thus fitting on screen and not being scaled.

Hi Andreas. Can you please elaborate?

Are you speaking of the character styles in the assets pane?

The edit dialog speaks RGB, Hex, or HSB there is a drop down to the left of the textual color input field.

You can right click on any text node and reveal character style in the assets pane. It's not always you want to auto-scroll the assets pane when you select a text node...because of course you might be trying to apply a new one.

Agree with you on the saved colors...will file that issue for sure.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Why not just enable the layers panel and use the search filter at the top of the layers panel? What version of XD are you using?

Corey mentions: Hey there, so it’s not a bug nor your computer. It’s just that we haven’t added effect parameters to the list of animated props yet. It’s pending though. If your element is not a fixed element you might try just placing a copy of your blurred object on top and let that one fade out to one that has a different sized blur…. so it will see appear to be a dynamic change albeit crossfade.

Not sure I understand what you mean. All mask groups are non-destructive and can be double-clicked into to edit like any other group. You can adjust the mask shape, etc.

No the on-canvas editing controls work consistently regardless of context (what is focused in the PI/sidebar).

You can drag the corner "dot" with option key down to affect only one corner.

Can you please elaborate? What aren't you seeing as not viable with current boolean operators? e.g. You can double click down into a boolean group to update/resize/move component parts etc. Or what do you like about shape builder that you aren't able to accomplish with the non-destructive boolean operations?

If you can elaborate or post an XD file somewhere with the issue you are having we can help.

Background blurs on fixed elements works fine as non-fixed content flows underneath (such as when scrolling).

Other fixed content will also blur correctly as long as the other fixed elements are behind the background blur element in z-order.
