Set spacing between objects to a specific number of pixels
Adobe Fireworks style specific alignment in pixels.
Set spacing vertically or horizontally, by typing a specific number value into the panel.

I would like this for something like a button with text. Where I can keep any text that I type the same px from the edge.

Not having this is almost unforgivable. Yes i can use stacks but it's like 3 extra steps + i don't want everything to be stacked.
Also lol @ this being under review 6 years ago

Exactly. I was just looking for this. Adobe InDesign has this feature. It's part of the Align tool. You can align objects, distribute objects, and distribute spacing. With distribute spacing, you can specify the exact spacing between objects, in px, pt, in, or whatever unit you want. I find it invaluable. We need this feature in XD.

Peter Flynn, what we want is to be able to specify the amount of space between the elements not just aligning them automatically, what Distribute command does is aligning the elements automatically you can not specify the exact space between them!

Must have feature. What is Adobe's team suggested alternative?

Funny that its 2020 now and nothing has changed.

My god I could have used this feature today. When your dev teams require factors of 8 between components, it's much easier to add the a factor of 8 manually between objects than to nudge and bump.

Must require, please provide.

James Kachan said it best: Adobe InDesign "Distribute Spacing" is exactly what we need.
This is exactly what we need. I would hate to have to download a plugin this would be all we need to be able to set consistent spacing throughout.

Has this been resolved yet? I see the original ticket was in March 2016!!
I just switched over from Sketch, I'm lost without being able to specify spacing in between objects.
Please Adobe, hurry! Otherwise, I'm going back to Sketch!

Is this the same as setting how many pixels you want things to move when using 'shift + move arrow'?
If not I need to know so I can open a request.
Thanks a lot! -

Someone knows a plugin for that?

oh yeah, I need this

There's a plugin for that? I still waiting that. I hope it be developed soon

2 things would significantly raise my opinion of XD's constraints functionality:
1. The ability to change the spacing between a group of objects as a feature, not just by click-and-drag. When you create a Repeat Grid, this feature is already in place until the repeat grid is ungrouped; it would be great if there was a way for me as the user to hand select a group of objects and have the same ability to adjust the consistent spacing in between by typing in the number of pixels rather than click and drag.
2. It would also be REALLY nice if all around there were easier access to viewing constraints' sizes (i.e., If I turned on "View Constraints" as an option from the View menu and clicked an object, I would be able to see how far it was from the edge of the display and each of the objects closest to it, etc.)

Adobe InDesign "Distribute Spacing" is exactly what we need.
Image grids or other objects often have exact pixel distances between one another — XD should make that easy to do.
Object > Distribute doens't respect a specific amount of space between it just distributes whatever space is available rather than by a specific amount.
PS: Adobe InDesign has a zillion layout features and power behind it that I would really like to see translated over, or used to inspire Xd's layout tools.
-
Also note: this is closely related to https://adobexd.uservoice.com/forums/353007/suggestions/13623243-change-spacing-between-objects-by-dragging -- which is about setting spacing _visually_ by dragging or resizing on canvas.
-
Note: you should be able to do spacing evenly already using the Object > Distribute commands in Adobe XD. I think that's similar to the "Evenly" option in Fireworks (if not, please let us know how you'd like XD's Distribute commands to be different).
I've edited the title of this request to focus on the piece that's totally missing in XD: setting spacing to a specific value in pixels.
