Password on shared prototypes
Allow the user to add a password to shared prototypes.
You can now enable password protection for prototypes before sharing the links with the reviewers. Ensure that you share the associated password along with the prototype links to the reviewers.
For more information, see https://helpx.adobe.com/xd/help/share-embed-designs-prototypes.html#password-protection

Required password option is missing from the share mode. Please suggest how to create password-protected share links.

Hi Emrod, Sorry to hear that you are having difficulty in opening the file. Can you provide specifics of how big this file is? As in, how many Artboards did it have?
Can you check once if you are not able to open only this particular file after including password protection, or can you just create a simple New file with some content in it. Publish the same with password protection and verify if that links opens up. I wanted to make sure it's not something to do with the file in particular.
You can choose to mail me at: arunk@adobe.com
Thanks!

This is a great feature, but i am having difficulty opening the file after I have included password protection. After password is input, file just spins and never loads. Is this happenin to anyone else? Any suggestions? This is vital for our company in order to use XD.

Does it mean that the shared prototypes are still saved to Adobe Cloud? or are they completely private? This is very important for NDA sensitive industry. Thanks!

Often, I use XD to prototype the end consumer interaction experience to help our clients visualize our solutions proposals.
Unfortunately, the URLs are all public. So sending potential clients a public URL, allows them to send and resend to whomever they want, effectively taking away my ability to limit who can see/share our intellectual property.
It would be ideal if there was some way to create a limited invite; for example, along with the public URL; 1. I might be able to white-label a list of email addresses I would like to share the URL with; 2. I can set a limit to how long that URL is good for; 3. The invitees need to enter some form of password that I have communicated to them like a code; 4. I can edit the white label list and update the URL and it's expiry when I decide to update link.

Still waiting for this feature, there are industries where this is a must have feature in order to use the software. Please Adobe do it ASAP, it's not a rocket science...!

1. Password-protected prototypes 2. Share to a managed group 3. Control the design account used to create the prototype so the enterprise also can access the files if the designer is reassigned or leaves 4. Downloadable design spec and prototype files so they can be hosted internally if necessary.
XD has some interesting and very different approaches than prior Adobe software, especially Illustrator and Photoshop, my workhorse tools. It designs in and for SVG! It's pretty cool the more I get into it, but the security issues listed above are HUUGE and if Adobe doesn't prioritize these over coolness, they will lose important fan and customer trust to competitors in this space who "get it" about enterprise-level security.

We need even a rough expectation to give to our stakeholders regarding when this feature will be available. Adobe, please communicate beyond "Feature Started."
