Design with Data
I remember, I have seen this presentation at Adobe MAX 2015. Where we can use dummy / Sample data for content such as Name, city, country etc (Please also think to add lorem ipsum dummy paragraph if possible).
I would love to know, is there any plan to integrate that concept in near future. Its a really great functionality and time consuming important feature for us.

We think you’re going to really, really dig the plugin integrations we’re making available later this year :)

That's one feature I miss about the pencil app https://pencil.evolus.vn/
I would love to see that implemented in conjunction with UI kits, so that if you were to add say a Bootstrap table, you could create columns by imputing the data, instead of having to use the repeat grid.

Ability to generate / populate a repeat grid from any sort of database / spreadsheet would be awesome, especially if combined with state-ful Symbols.

I love this feature importing CSV files from excell into a master layout using InDesign Data Merge. I use it all the time for trade shows when I get a list of 1000+ custom badges.

I would like to see an integration with real data from any datafile, I would like to see adobe XD all in one application.
I would like to have if and else and date, time conditions for showing different data when open the app application.
Why only prototyping the app way do you don´t make it all in one app. So we do not need to use other application to remake everything again.
This i would like to see.
Or this application is useless for me.

I like that, and i realy need this plugin as at skatchapp, or maybe in xd defoult setup. This is very important in making applications and web. Designers would rather shorten the time, and facilitate the whole process of creating designs

We use XD for a lot of email designs which are data heavy. I like how XD handles tables with repeat grid, but would love to be able to link to an Excel doc as these change regularly and can take quite a while to update.

Import Excel file where header tells data where to go in grid for bulk data imports.

I love this feature but it is still not implemented and it had been such a pain for me.
So I came up with a patch: www.repeatgrid.com Might be handy for all of us who love designing in AdobeXD. -

How about the ability to be able to directly write SQL (SQL Server or other) queries to generate data on the fly to be used for designing?
If not directly, I suppose one could link an Excel (or maybe Google) spreadsheet to a query and then drop the spreadsheet into XD... but a direct option to run a query to supply data for designing with would be most helpful.

Being able to add photos or latest posts via url would be great.
For instance, Facebook, twitter feed, latest IG post, etc... Adding this functionality to an element would allow us to add real time feeds that would REALLY impress clients.
Live weather feed, real google maps integration, etc. The possibilities here are limitless.

I like this idea, as I deal with a lot of data grids. The same way that you can take a text file with values listed one per line like this:
Costa Rica
Honduras
El Salvador
Cuba
Panama
NicaraguaWhich is great. But if you could define a single cell maybe, then drag and drop a CSV and it automagically populates across and down
Country, Currency
Costa Rica, Colón
Honduras, Lempira
El Salvador,USD
Cuba, Peso
Panama, Balboa
Nicaragua, CórdobaWhich would result in a 2 column grid, with the style of the defined cell where you dragged it, or whatever.
The alternative is I manually split a spreadsheet into multiple single column .txt files, then drag-and-drop each of those into my .XD project (and hope they line up). It gets a bit daunting when there's a lot of columns. Balsamiq has a feature where you can drop in a CSV or a TSV file.

I'd like to see this too. Currently it's possible to easily repeat a simple text list vertically or horizontally, but not both.
Ideally it would accept a CSV file and make the repeat grid go horizontal for all comma separated values, and make a new row for every carriage return.

We are in a position where we might need to quickly replicate what is live on a given webpage or URL, only to set the environment for a new proposed change or revision. Right now we are spending a lot of time mocking up the page in Photoshop, so I think XD and the repeat grid will help us immensely and we're going to begin using it immediately. However, I'd love to be able to pass a txt file filled with URLs pointing to images (with line breaks between each URL) and have XD utilize them in the repeat grid. This way we could just generate a quick report, format it, and it would be ready for action when dropped into XD.
What do you think? Thanks for your time and for an awesome Max?
