  1. I would like the ability to decide what is included in the "grid gap" between shapes for example I would like to choose to ignore shape effects such as shadows.

    Currently (v14) I need to mentally subtract the width of the shadow from the repeat grid spacing to ensure the layout is displayed correctly for development.

  2. Displaying the icon in browsers and launcher icons (iOS, Android) improves the experience with the user tests and the open a lot of opurtunities to experiment as a designer.

  3. Would love to be able to navigate a voice prototype WITHOUT having to long press the screen. Having to interact with the screen in order to use voice defeats the purpose of voice prototyping.

    I understand there may be privacy concerns, but perhaps there's an option where you can have voice "turned on" at the prototype level. Meaning as soon as you navigate to the prototype and open it, Adobe confirms that this prototype uses voice and that you as a user consent to the mic being turned on as long as particular prototype is open on the phone.   4. When you click on the desktop preview, dim the background if it's on the same monitor your Artboards are on. I constantly have to scroll the artboards off screen to be able to demo the preview for someone.

  5. The method to set a Playback action appears quite complicated for many of my course attendees to grasp (setting the Artboard handle as a Timed animation with a Speech action) and definitely too difficult to discover. It even gets worse when they try to understand why to drag the handle from destination to source (as indicated in many Help files). Why not tell users to simply click the stub to invoke the heads-up display and get that initial confusion out of the way ?

  7. I used the beta version to completely redo my personal home page (fredspage.com). It looks a whole lot better now. It used to look like a variation of the examples from Head First HTML with a dated color scheme.

    It allowed me to first focus on design first, and later on hand coding the implementation, a much better work flow than attempting both simultaneously.

    I am a subscriber to the Adobe photographer plan and perhaps you might sell more photography plan subscriptions if you included some sort of upgrade of Xd with it.

  8. We using in our project Font Awesome 5 pro, and i have issue with my workflow. Basically i find icon on web https://fontawesome.com and click to copy glyph or for known icons i just type "star" or "exclamation" etc. Everything works for me until i need to export data for programmers. If i mark icon for export, XD just export svg with textfield filled with glyph from font, but its useless as icon export. I need some option to mark icons to vectorize before exporting. Thanks!

  9. My work involves a lot of non-traditional input devices. From gamepads to custom industrial controllers. Being able to develop middleware on my end and communicate with, let's say, a websocket API into XD would allow for much wider usage at our studio.

    Ex. Websockets, UDP or TCP to control prototype interaction.

  10. Introduce a 'Sketched View' mode, which a designer can toggle on/off. This would effectively remove all color from an artboard/design and render lines,borders,shapes with a slightly hand drawn effect, greyscale images, etc. You may have produced a lovely design but don't want the client to initially get held up on color choices. Once layout tweaked/approved you can then turn off 'Sketched View' and re-publish for the next review stage.

  11. I've seen hundreds of newbies get their hands on Xd for the first time, and they always hit the separate corners button before setting the desired value, not understanding that the value entry box is already related to the button on the left. Please re-arrange them and use a more conventional and intuitive mapping of these buttons.

  12. I find that sometimes the description of the plugins are difficult to understand. Im not sure if the plugin is right for me. If the plugin developers could get the option to upload a preview video or screenshot/gif of the functionality so that the user could get some more info before installing – that would be helpful.

  13. I am not sure this is a bug or a feature request. But I am using the boolean intersect operation to intersect 2 vector shapes. I am then animating the intersection. But soon as I reach the masked object bounds or just beyond it the boolean intersection undoes itself. I have attached a video.

  14. I'd personally prefer the icons on the layers (mark as asset/batch ; lock/unlock ; view/hide) to be visible at all times and have a hover/ active state rather than being invisible until you click it.

    I supposed the goal is to get used to it and remember which is where but I often find myself having to click twice or three times to find the right icon for the right action which becomes annoying.

  15. Is it possible to export all the assets in the art board embedded inside groups recursively.
    Example:

    Group1
    - asset 1
    - Group 1.1
    -asset 1.1.1
    -asset 1.1.2
    ......

    Expectation after export:
    asset1, asset1.1.1, asset1.1.2 (seperate files)

    currently once way to do this is to ungroup and export it.

  16. Art boards start off being placed at the center of the canvas but as projects grow and things are placed outside of art boards it becomes difficult and time consuming to move the group to the upper most bounds. By default the art board should be placed in the upper-most right corner of the canvas to maximize space and minimize the pain that comes in moving when you realize you are out of canvas space.

  17. Have the ability for prototype wires to go underneath the artboards.

    This feature would be would be already made wires, any wire that you are live-editing would be above artboards.

  18. It would be awesome if every time I opened the wrong file, after closing it, I would still get the initial screen where I can choose another file.

    As of right now, the project closes and I have to reopen the application to choose another file.

  19. If I want to create 3D elements and objects for use with Microsoft Teams I should be able to quickly and easily mock all this up in XD.

  20. Currently you can see the hex color code and copy to your clipboard (i.e. #ffffff). To save a step in programming, it would be nice to copy a code snippet instead (i.e. background-color: #f0f0f0;).
