As a non-programming game designer, I have been learning XD to create a prototype of a mobile game app.
In order to have a functional prototype, however, XD needs to have game play-related functions that we can apply to Tap activated buttons, such as:
> Generate Random Value
> Generate Random Destination Artboard
> Generate Random Line of Text (from a linked Txt File in the Assets Panel)
> Add to / Overwrite a Line of Text (in a linked Txt file in the Assets Panel).
> Display Randomly Generated Line of Txt within target Text FieldThis may be well outside the scope and purpose of XD, but, I thought I'd request these features and see what happens.

YES! Components that have their own timelines, as it were, would be so useful.
IOW, we animate the component elements using different artboards, and then export the result as an animated component in the Assets Panel.
This way, we put the component on an Artboard A and as we go to Artboard B, we see the component's animation independent of how the transition occurs (be it Tap or Time or Overlay).
