I agree. Not having a proper history log is the most annoying thing, ever. Can’t believe people are not up-voting this.
When using multiple artboards and often switching between them just hitting cmd+z to undo things makes it really easy to lose track of what you're actually undoing. It often happens that I undo something unintentionally by hitting cmd+z one time too many, and that something is on the artboard that at that point isn’t in my viewport. So I’m actually not aware that I undid something I didn’t want to. The way it’s done in PS is great because it gives you visual feedback even if you don’t see it on screen and you can easily skip couple of steps back with just one click (instead of hitting cmd+z multiple times).
XD maybe did start off as a Sketch "rip-off" but there is so much room for improvement over Sketch and there's really no need to literally copy every Sketch "feature". Not having a history log is a real pain.
