Sometimes I need to create a prototype for something like, say, a form. I'd love it if we could have (global) variables for text strings that can be managed somewhere AND could be updated through Interactions.

Example: When a button is pressed, there's some logic attached that says: update the 'user name' global variable from whatever it is to 'John Doe'. Now, throughout the entire prototype (in preview mode), wherever that global variable is used it says 'John Doe'.

    Bonus:

Add dynamic options to global variables such as 'current date' or 'current time'. Useful for prototypes that need to feel as real as possible.

Coming from other prototype tools such as Axure, I really miss being able to target other components through Interactions and change their states.

In fact, I think it's crucial for me (and many others) to create more complex prototypes without having to jump through hoops and maintaining many duplicate artboards to achieve the same (or a sub-par) result.

    Simple example:

I have two components. The first being a collection of tabs. I want each of the tabs to target a separate component (either on the same artboard or on other artboards) and have it switch to a state of my choosing.
