    For everyone who is stuck until Adobe upgrades this from "Feature-in-the-backlog":

    1. Open your XD file
    2. Export SVG
    3. Open SVG in AI(default)
    4. Export As > .psd

    You get all your layers as grouped and named in the original XD file, with editable text layers.
