Apply a border/stroke to 1 side of a rectangle.
Rectangles: allow 1 or more sides to have a border(stroke), like: border-top

This comes in handy. Similar to how you code things in CSS should be a standard.

What the hell? Such an elementary thing, but I do not see it realized in Adobe XD! The need for a mandatory implementation of the CSS Box Model (https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_boxmodel.asp). Set these parameters is important for both web development and mobile. Including in the design, because much is built on these parameters. It should be possible to set individual parameters, like the left border, only the left and the bottom, and so on.

Yeah this would really help out, can't think of any reason why this hasn't been implemented already because it is such a crucial part in web design and even mobile design

For web and Ux and UI design this is crucial. You can do this with code so why cant we do that in Illustrator? specify borders by side.

To fulfill your need, I recommend all of you to use Shadow 0,1,0 instead border options.

I notice this idea and many others have been available since 2016. I'm new to XD, but this makes me wonder if Adobe actively addresses these requests. What are other's experience?

The work around is just use a line tool, however, If I use a regular line tool as a border, it ALWAYS snaps to a .5 on the X and Y axis.

This is a no brainer...
