Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview
Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.
Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.
To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:
MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.
Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!
XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

Seriously, can't believe still there's no tool that does this. So weird that Adobe hasn't incorporated some of the features of After Effects into XD. Just very simple animation ability, that could be included in the components. It's all we're asking for.

Over 6000 votes and over 880 comments in support of this feature which we were all very much happy to hear was started in March 2019. NINE MONTHS AGO. Babies are created quicker.
Would it be possible to get an update? Just someone please give us an idea of if this is going to happen or even just a hint at a date it could be released?
Communication is everything here.
Please
