Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    This would be an amazing feature. I downloaded Anima to show gifs but then it doesn't recognise the rollovers and other effects I've already created in Adobe XD which is a pain.

    Hey everyone. I am very new to XD. have been working mainly to create emails that a 3rd party created a system for a client with Modules. The conversation has come to adding basic gifs to XD for the email headers etc. In searching I am noticing that i can't find anything regarding that, and I am seeing many posts from people requesting about video and gifs. Considering i'm not too familiar with everything in the web/UX space, can someone let men know if XD cannot support any form of gifs? I want to be able to call this out ASAP to the team and client, before things get presented. Appreciate anyones quick response. Thanks

    guys I love the work you’ve done on the app soo far. But 3 years since this issue was raised. And to this date there is daily comments asking for the same thing. We would really appreciate this small addition

    Animated gifs, at a minimum please. All the other requests would be awesome as well, but a simple gif animation would go a long way.

    Hi Adobe XD team!

    Please consider the following for future updates:

    • Import Videos & Animated GIFs
    • Basic animation tools – timeline, tweening, etc working within a single artboard (tools similar to Adobe Animate but not as complex)
    • Assign more than 2 actions in Prototype mode – have Time feature in all actions
    • Justify text
    • Export package : SWF, CSS, images

    Really doens exist this feature i will try the other software for ui/ux and if some of the other support it i will migrate to that

    Import Videos
    clip Animated
    justify text
    export package : SWF, CSS, images

    Animated GIF would be great for presenting a full prototype.
