Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    There is a need to auto animate features without clicking on the prototype. A GIF would be the easiest way to do that. Even if it shows up in the prototype preview and not on the artboards.

    Can you please provide an update on progress for this feature? This would make life much easier for those of us who do a lot of prototyping (which is what I thought XD is for?).

    Please include this on Adobe XD no matter how hard time I could pay my Adobe Bills just to get this implemented because it is really important!!
