Animate individual elements separately (custom animation transitions / microinteractions)

Support for simple animation.
Example: Show/hide a slide or push menu

This would enhance a demo and engage prospects that are familar with common application patterns.

Hello there,

I’m happy to share that micro-interactions are now possible in Adobe XD.

Please take a look at this short video to know how to make the magic happen: https://twitter.com/Pinsky/status/1051879162124726272

Thanks a lot for your feedback here!

Whoaa Damian, auto-animate is NOT a solution for animating elements SEPERATELY. Don’t close this feature!

It would be great to export the animated elements into JSON files like Lottiefiles. Using the power of auto animate.

It's now 2018 and InVIsion Studio, ProtoPie and Principle all have much more engaging animation tools to prototype motion interactions. Your engineering team already has Flash and After Effects to tap into for an animation toolset for the prototype workflow. Why is this taking so long? Motion interaction is what most clients want to see next after simple navigation is mocked up. XD has been in production since 2012 after failed attempts of Muse. With this production rate, we may not see it until 2020.

Also take a look at Framer X - they have a more code orientated aproach on animations and interactions. Since animation sure have to be implemented via JS, why not giving both opportunities (working with timelines, coding your animation).

Simple on click animations would be such a huge improvement for XD.

wow, animations should be supported by default. We were able to do all these things 20 years ago in Adobe flash, (or Macromedia flash before that)... What is happening Adobe?? I now have to use something like Protopie in the meantime, is that our only option?

Adobe team could do a great work while they have specialty in animation.

It's crazy that this isn't a feature already! I just started using XD in favour of Invision, but I can't even animate a drop-down menu from a specified location. Please please please add this ASAP!

Such a great idea! I heard a rumor that they are allowing 3rd party plug-ins, soon. Maybe this feature could be added in some way down the line through them?

Wow, I am so happy to see this request. I was talking about how great it would be to be able to animate different elements. So to simulate a working website. This would be similar to when the preview button is pressed if you have text or photo that would slide into frame it can be demonstrated and the same when you wire up a button to go to another page and other elements have a delayed animation. Or better yet when the scroll effect is created it can simulate when a certain view height is reached and an element is in frame that element can animate.
