Selective style copy/paste
When you copy a style, it copies everything. It would be great if there was a paste special style hotkey. When you press this hotkey (or select from right-click), it pops up a dialog where you can pick WHAT you want copied.
Often, I want the border, shadow styles to copy, but not the fill, since XD uses the fill to add images, then the image gets overridden. This is especially true for a lot of screenshots in product sites and also team icons of profile photos, etc.
PS. Not everyone wants to create a component for small design tests,…

Ctrl/Cmd + double click to edit text inside a group
It is possible to do Ctrl + click (Cmd+click on Mac) to directly select an element which is inside one or more groups.
In previous versions of Adobe XD it was also possible to do Ctrl/Cmd + double click to directly select the text of a text element which is inside one or more groups, so that you could just start typing or do a copy/paste to change/replace the text content of this element.

New state feature doesn't sync when assets updated
I have a separated file for all assets and my actual project, so what I usually do is call the assets file from clouds (this is so my other team member able to use the same assets when they working on other pages).
So with the new state feature where I can add hover and other states to my buttons, I change some of my buttons in the master assets file (the one i save on clouds) and then I click update assets on my project file.
The default state is updated but not the other states (hover, inactive, etc..)…

Cmd select should direct select even when you're in a tool (InDesign)
When you're in a tool other than Select, you can't quickly select another layer/object unless you jump out of the tool first. In InDesign, you can hold CMD while you're in the tool to allow selecting. CMD is already established as the key to use when selecting within a group.

Allow scrolling of assets while text is selected.
- DESCRIPTION
When selecting text it's not possible to scroll through the assets panel in order to select text styles and/or colors. The user is forced to de-select the text, scroll to the desired asset, re-select the text, and then finally apply the style or color.

It would save about 10 million clicks a year. And me a nervous breakdown :-)

Keyboard shortcut to jump to width/height controls in property inspector
Two things:
1) A shortcut keystroke to enter the fields. InDesign has this already. I think AI does too.
2) For math operations, it would be nice if I didn't have to get the cursor to blink at the right edge before typing my operation (* 2, /3, etc.). Why not just have the field recognize the operation? If someone enter +, -, /, or * just perform that function.4 votesThanks for your feedback! Reorder artboards alphabetically in the layers panel
Need an ability to rearrange artboards on the left section - where the list of all artboards are shown. This will enable me to export my artboards to pdf and also to zeplin in a sequential manner.
Because i like to drag and copy artboards the artboards are all mixed up on the artboards list section. It would help if there is a button to quickly rearrange the artboards alphabetically.

Show scale percentage of placed artwork in property inspector
I'd like to see placed artwork include a field in the UI where we can see it's current scale, with respect to it's original size.
Right now if I place a piece of artwork, and scale it to fit an artboard, the original dimensions of the art aren't surfaced anywhere in the UI.
If I later then add another piece of artwork that needs to match this scaling, but isn't necessarily the exact same pixel dimensions (e.g., different bar graphs built on the same grid) I have no way to know the scaling percentage I should apply to make the…

Keep current artboard centered within a viewport when zooming 100%
Presently when I zoom 100% (Ctrl+1) artboards go out of the viewport which doesnt make any sense. It would be much more convenient to keep currently selected artboard centered or simply show the top leftmost artboard when no artboard is selected.

Change the order of the Align Buttons
Please swap the order of the Align Icons
to be:Left + Center + Right + Distribute . ||| Up + Center + Down + Distribute
Left and Right should be primary and top and bottom secondary, at least in the so called "western world" we read from left to right and top to bottom, so it would actually be more user friendly, thanks

Allow full asset name to be displayed in Asset panel without truncating
I can't see the whole name for my assets (colors, character styles, components) that have long names. This is made particularly difficult when opening files from Sketch, which by nature have symbols with long names.
Currently, as you drag out the assets panel, it automatically splits the list into more and more columns, never letting a column get wide enough to show the entire asset name.
A few possible solutions include either wrapping the text for long names, not breaking to multiple columns until the longest name fits, or best yet, sticking with what you have for the default behavior…

Layout grid outer margins should change with artboard resize
We still use Reflow for typography and letting us see how it looks across the various breakpoints.
One of the great things about Edge Reflow is the ability to set independent margins across various breakpoints.
In XD on resizing an artboard, the grid margins remain the same when ideally they should dynamically resize.

Pin object to layout grid
I use the columns on the layout grid frequently to space objects but not being able to align objects within columns easily/automatically makes for time-consuming drawing of boxes etc in order to get the correct perfect positioning. It would be great to be able to align objects to columns either automatically when dragging (just in the same way objects align themselves to other objects) or by selecting an alignment preference (similar to InDesign) for layout columns and using the alignment buttons.

Apple introduced HEIC/HEIF Files about a year ago for the iPhone and I can't still drag and drop them into the Adobe XD application on my Mac with Mojave.

Allow measure tool to measure items outside a group without being in that group
Right now I have a bunch of objects grouped together so I can move them all around and resize them responsively. But when I want to measure the distance between something outside that group with something inside that group it only gives me the measurement from the perimeter of the group. It would be nice if measurements ignored groups. I find myself having to move stuff in and out of said group to make measurements.

Add scrollbar to font weight menu
Problem: I often think I'm missing certain weights of a font because the dropdown fails to indicate the list is longer than the initial view.
Solutions:
1) Remove the height limitation on the dropdown — show me everything!
2) If that's impossible, at least show me a scroll bar, or have the text masked at the edge of the box to indicate the option to scroll. And start me at the beginning of the list if possible — very confusing to be started like 3 items into the list
