Save as older version
an option to save XD files in older version, so people working on updated versions can share documents with people who can't upgrade

I'm experiencing this issue now. Broken laptop has forced me to switch to an older backup computer. Now I can't open my latest XD projects. No problem working on my Figma projects - just sayin'.

This is a larger issue than the votes depict. It is everyone's problem. Some enterprises don't allow Cloud, and disallow individual users to manage their Adobe accounts. If working with outside parties who have different versions of XD, trying to meet deadlines while waiting for slow IT to go thru the red tape to update XD becomes impossible.
This is also a UX problem. This shouldn't be passed off as a problem to IT departments of super large companies who pay Adobe a huge amount - we should expect better service. Adobe needs to feel the pulse of this problem!

This is one of three issues that are really messing up my team (the others are blocker bugs in complex components and being forced to upgrade share URLs with no redirects). We have a mixed Mac and PC environment, and it is not always possible to keep our XD versions in sync. Plus, we are reluctant to upgrade because we don't have enough information anymore to evaluate new versions (you used to have great release notes, now there are often no release notes at all). Some of your updates have caused us a lot of work and delayed the work of dozens of developers. For example, when you first released your "tile view" (and took away the layout view we were using to organize 100s of artboards for each application), we had to spend days renaming and perfectly aligning artboards on canvases to force the screens to the correct order in the tile view. On any given day, at least one of us is often unable to open shared files. We are a serious design practice that delivers pixel-perfect specifications for application development work. In the past couple of years it has gotten harder and harder to support our processes with Adobe XD. Adobe - unless you have decided to forsake serious enterprise-grade design teams, please fix these issues. Please spend more time on robustness and less time on all those useless layers of marketing web pages. Your Adobe Cloud user experience has become chaotic and frustrating - it's a struggle to even find the version of XD I am running! I need my team to spend more time designing and less time trying to work around Adobe XD issues! Oh, and basic file version control would be nice.

Incredibly annoying. I thought to myself "hey, maybe there is an advantage to this cloud document thing" and opened my XD file on my other computer which I wouldn't normally use for XD, but it happened to be more convenient at the time. Now I can't make any changes on the computer I use 99% of the time unless I update the OS..... I'm not updating the OS on my main development machine while I'm polishing up an app. Also, since I'm logging into my cloud account, maybe warn me? "You edited this file on a different version of XD, would you like to update it?"

This makes collaboration impossible at times and is a serious flaw.

I have a very aggressive deadline for a project this week and half my team got locked out of the files because they run High Sierra and can't update XD. This is so amateurish it's surprising Adobe came up with that.

Some of our team members are stuck with Sierra and can't get content from members on a newer MacOS. This is simply wrong :/ I'm a fan of Xd for a variety of reasons but simply this problem will force us to migrate on another platform. *cough*Figma*cough

Same problem for my team. We are working with an external agency and we both have different versions and cannot share content.

Can anyone take this an Urgent Issue, I have the same problem sharing my work among coworkers which have an older mac and therefore can't get XD Updated to the latest version.
Collaboration is a must in our Agency and due to this problem we are having several delays on deliverying the mockups to our customers.
Please raise it as a priority.

Adobe is ignoring this important issue which only got worse when everyone started working from home on their personal computers - some which are stuck on High Sierra and can't use the newest versions, so my company moved to another product. Wish we could dump the rest of CC too. I have come to hate Adobe.

How many votes do this request need to be considered? I can tell for a couple of years people is asking for this feature due to it's a basic option as the other Softwares count with it.
Please do it.

I have a big problem with my team work, in my agency they work with an older version because new versions need through to revision security to be release in the agency. Some teammates as me has in home the new version, is complicated work well with this versions issue among us.

I have an older mac on which the latest version of XD is not compatible. Due to this I am stuck because of a simple version control feature missing in the software. The only other way is to buy a new mac. I hope you understand the gravity of the situation in my case.

FFS Adobe, good gwad, I hate XD but am forced to use it for work. No rulers, and now I'm stuck and can't open files as well. Get your shit together adobe. Backward compatibility is a must when working with teams. Why make software that can't in the 1st place.????
Kick your XD lead developer in the head and make this happen.
