Make nudge grid-dependent
It would be really nice if you can make the nudge (Shift + Arrow) work with the same size as the grid by default or add some tool to change it. I think this way we can work even faster.
For example: for an 8px grid, make the nudge 8px instead of the default 10px; for a 4px grid, nudge 4 px and so on.
Additionally, another mode could be added to make the nudge twice the size of the grid. For a 4px grid, nudge 8px.
It's the same principle as nudg.it for Sketch, but without the hassle of change anything. :)
Thanks for your great work!
With XD 23 release, when square grid is on, nudging will align the elements to grid and move them in grid size increments.
Furthermore, now you can resize elements in grid increments by using Cmd+Shift (Alt+Shift on Win) and arrow keys.
Happy designing!

I think it would be a bit to review this function.
1. If I set an 8x8 px grid I get a shift of 8px (shift + arrows)
If I want to increase or decrease the size I have to press (shift + alt + arrows), but now the magnification is + 10px
sorry but if I set an 8px grid as a base value, I think everything should be proportioned according to the 8px grid. 8/16/24/32 / .. 64 ... 128 ... 256 ...2. if the grid is set to 8px the shift will be 8px
if I have the split column view the shift is 10 px ??
but what if i said i want it every 8px before?
so why not create a menu as in illustrator for standard keyboard movements ?? so everyone sets it as they like.Help us make life easier!

This feature should be accessible even when the square grid is off. I want to arrange things in columns but still be able to space them by my grid increment. This would require constantly switching between the Layout Grid and Square Grid.

I would also really like to adjust the amount of pixels the combination shift+arrow key moves the object. I always use distances like 8px, 16px, 32px and so on. It's quite common to use an 8px grid. Currently every time i want to move an object, I use shift+arrow key and then nudge it two pixels back again, its annoying sometimes. Would love to see some improvements

Define a base unit different to 1px
It will be very helpfull to be able to set a base unit for shift+arrow key that will be different than a multiple of x10.
I use 8 for moving and arranging objects.
So something like in thsi article, but for XD

It's odd that the default grid is 8px but nudge is 10px and unchangeable. You could add a "nudge" options panel right under the "grid" options panel, which would allow a per artboard change and a "make default" options. That would be mint.

Please Adobe add this feature! This would be a huge time saver, as lot of people work with 8pt grid.

I work with a 8px grid, and would love to be able to move any objects with Sift + Arrows on increments of 8 pixels (or choose a desire amount). There is a plug-in called Nudge It that solves that problem for Sketch. Sorry to mention this :)
Thanks

+1 Great recommendation. This becomes particularly important if you expect the tool to become more than just a prototyping tool. When working in large enterprise software systems a nudge that matches the grid in which we work is EXPECTED.
If the nudge doesn't match the grid, then it is practically useless. Ie. SHIRFT + NUDGE then become SHIFT + NUDGE + DIRECTIONAL KEY + DIRECTIONAL KEY. 4 key strokes are needed correct the difference in an 8-px grid.

This is necessary when we design with 8px-grid-system!
