Showing Layers AND Assets at the Same Time
I can't believe this suggestion doesn't already exist, but I work on a 32" or a 27" monitor all the time. I have plenty of screen real estate. Why not let me view both Assets and Layers panels at the same time?

If they made it dockable containers like in photoshop, then you could either have split view in one column of the Layers and Assets panels, or if you prefer (like me) I would personally have two columns, one for each.
Please can you implement this?
Also photoshop import into Xd is extremely buggy. I am having to do everything manually as import keeps crashing with NO indication as to what layers are causing it to crash. Grrrrrr! Back to manual re-doing of everything again!

over a year later and this basic thing isn't done?
I've only just started on Xd since yesterday and this is extremely frustrating!

This is a terrible user experience - being forced to toggle between layers and assets panels constantly. Please I'm begging you, fix this!. :D

i am a little amazed that this feature has not been implemented. For those of us that work on large 1440p or 4k monitors, not having this feature is really annoying. Please implement the ability to show the assets and layers panels at the same time.

This simple idea is over a year old. Come on, this seems like a no-brainer.

HEAR HEAR! Us big screen users would love this feature!

I agree, I work on 3 large monitors 99% of the time, and it would be super useful to have both Layers and Assets panels exposed.
I am also in favor of making them floating windows so I can move them onto another screen if needed, or just arange them as I see fit.
Another suggestion on this topic, would be to put the buttons for Layers and Assets as tabs at the top of the panel. The bottom left is super awkward to access on a large monitor and not where I usually look for items.
For now I am just trying to make the most of the toggle hot keys

Also make the panels moveable, so we can create our own workspace much like in Photoshop.
This would increase the overview of all panels to the extent of your own will. -

I agree this is needed. And perhaps place them on the right, or make it configurable, like AI and Ps

Yes, please. I thought I was the only one that found it really annoying to have to switch between these two. Offer the ability to have them both open, or at least split the real estate.

I to would like to see this feature. In fact while this tool is not as heavy as PS, I would love for its own UI to have the same functionality (in regards to re-arranging panels and being able to see multiple panels on the same work-space view.

I agree that constantly having to switch between these two panels is very tiresome, not sure why Adobe doesn't see the importance of having both open at the same time. Hope to see some progress on this one to speed up my work.

This is BIG. I hate going between the two. Need to be able to get to both really fast without keystroking or clicking. Please consider this!

Switching between the Artboards and Assets panels is time-consuming – and it doesn't have to be that way. It would be great to have both panels visible at the same time (as an option on top of the current solution).
Single panel – great for smaller screens
Both panels – great for big and huge screensDesigners are in the group of computer users who are likely to work on a modern, high-quality, big, hi-res screen. I mean here 27" - 40" and 4K and up. Please give us a way of utilising the screen estate we invested in and let us make our workspace more ergonomic.

The toggle between layers and assets is so annoyingly out of the way.

Allow to open the layers panel and the symbols panel at the same time (have each of them use half of the height of the left panel area).

I feel the Symbol Panel should be dockable like the other panels across the Adobe family . Docking below the Artboard panel isn't a bad idea.
Reason is the workflow become easier and faster rather having to click the symbol panel everytime to apply a symbol .

This software is so very poor because of basic oversights like this. Seems like your team were so keen on creating a 'minimal' interface that they decided to deny the user basic features & customizations.
My job is to design better user experiences yet this tool is among the worst I have encountered in my professional career. Was it not for the fact that my company now uses windows & I cant use Sketch I would have dumped this software already.
