Scroll to Anchor Link Target
The anchor link that target the specific part of the page. This is the significant user experience on web usability where user can "back to top" or can navigate (i.e. from menu bar) to the specific sessions without the need to scroll through entire pages.
In today’s release of XD, we’ve introduced scroll to anchor link. You can learn more about this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpfKVTkPbgg

Definitely a sorely missed feature of this awesome software. Anchor linking to different sections of a page would really help in creating a more believable user experience for the person reviewing the prototype. I agree with Johnny :) notes is what I use as well to explain to clients looking at the prototype that "if you click on that menu item there it goes nowhere now, but it's supposed to scroll down to this bit there. If you click on the other button...etc etc" lol, let us anchor link, pretty please!

This would be so helpful. I often have to write notes to explain the missing functionality.

Giving the anchor link a bump for 2019.

It should be as simple as letting us set the destination page of the link to the current artboard; which when done would jump to the top of that artboard. Please make this happen Adobe Team!

I attached an image that shows what I want to do. As you said it could be an solution to have an option to jump to a section lower on the page. But in that case i guess there would have to be an input field in the animation panel to enter exactly what pixel to jump too. Or away to add an anchor point in the layout.
Either way I think a viewport that acts more like a box seems an easier and more direct way to work with.
