Scroll to Anchor Link Target
The anchor link that target the specific part of the page. This is the significant user experience on web usability where user can "back to top" or can navigate (i.e. from menu bar) to the specific sessions without the need to scroll through entire pages.
In today’s release of XD, we’ve introduced scroll to anchor link. You can learn more about this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpfKVTkPbgg

I'd love to see a "use previous scroll position" for the "back to previous" option. This would help when a link drives to a new page that you do not want to preserve scroll position on, but on returning want to go back to previous scroll location. Example: a tall search tool sends you to a search results page (top), but a back or cancel button from the search results you may want to send back to the previous page scrolled down to your last selection. Anchor tags could potentially solve this as well, without overly complicating the UI.

I see you can't just drag the string to the same art board at the top or bottom, so this option would be helpful, especially if the design has a lot of scrolling and you want a button to take you straight to the top.

here's a work-around:
link a botton from page 1 to page 2.
when the transition settings box appears, click 'preserve scroll'
This method works perfectly when the linked buttons/ elements are below the view port height. It should work fine for just a prototype.
I hope it helps. -

Why is this in the backlog? While I do like XD, Infusion's Studio has a lot more going for it and it's a more recent offering.

Yes, looking for this feature

This needs to happen, and fast, I'm so surprised it's not already available - maybe the "end user needs" section was skipped in the product discovery stage for XD as this is a high priority

Absolutely vital. I'm currently mocking up a website and lack the ability for overlay menu items to link directly to certain spots on the page, which is a single long-page design.

This would definitely come in handy when you want to create website interactions where those interactions should scroll you down the screen automatically.

I have needed/wanted this on three different app prototypes in the last month or two and it would be something very useful. Also would love to be able to change a header area based on where I am at in the page. So I have one header look for initial page load and once the user scrolls past X on the page it would replace the header area or area X with the a different area. Would be nice to be able to do it all in XD verses going to Proto Pie or Kite Comp.

Yes please! I love that the application is constantly being improved and this feature feels like a "no-brainer" to me.

Be able to have a fixed position appear once we start scrolling below viewport to send us back to top.
For one pages site - Be able to click on an option in navbar that would go strait to that section of the page. -

Not too hard I should think?
