Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview
Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.
Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.
To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.
Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!
XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

please for the love of all that is simple and should have been addressed a long time ago! I have always been adiehard xd user but I have had a few problems lately where I have had to either jump through ridiculous hoops or explain to a client that my prototyping tool cannot handle something ... and the problem is so simple it makes me feel like they probably think I just don't know how. Last time I needed to incorporate gifs, I just used Figma.
honestly this is a key point to switch to figma. Wait until next month when ends my license.
Just that there is not even a slight response from you guys after all this comments here, it just brings back the question is Adobe XD really worth the monthly payment in 2021? Figma becomes more and more attractive, even Sketch... Please just do something!

Solicitação feita em 2019 e ainda não respondida. Descaso com seus usuários, não?
I have one word for you guys!!
Is there a release date? My organization has about 12 XD licenses which we are currently thinking about switching to Figma. Please give us an ETA on this.

Can we have a release date for this please? Its been over 2 years now in the making. Long awaited and highly requested. We are considering switching to Figma as a result of this delay.

Any chance of a release date for this feature, please?
2 years and nothing happened on XD supporting animated gifs, I understand videos could be a nightmare, but really, small lightweight animated gifs are quite old tech!
down arrow works properly in browser.....but when it comes to XD is not working...

Its been 2 years since this feature's development has started
This would be an outstanding feature. Unlike just about all the other comments on here, though, I'm not going to act outraged. I love AdobeXD and how far it's come... please implement this to take it to the next level 💪.

Hope this is coming out. Another reason to move to Figma if not.
So simple ... at least you'd think. Makes you wonder why they can't be bothered to do something that plainly so many people want. Probably just because they don't give a sh*t :(

11271 votes and 1620 comments and something so basic still not included
This is one of the most voted feature request for years. Is there any strategic reason for not adding it? If no, please add it...
In the company I currently support, we have switched to Figma. And I'm also starting to consider migrating if development continues so slowly.
again another update with such a nice number (40) and still no videos and gif support in sight... starts to feel like people will leaving the sinking ship soon...
why having this request board when there is no even a little slight of getting info then a "feature-started" and 2 years of nothingness afterwards - super disappointing.
This idea was suggested 5 years ago and they still haven't implemented it. LOL.
Seriously people why do you even bother waiting, just use Figma.
It's incredible to see how adobe has just put things under review or feature started with little to no feedback whatsoever.
Where these functionalities are already in place with other design software...
Can anyone explain that or does this just go into the backlog of things they don't care about?
