Import Videos & Animated GIFs to show in interactive preview

Support to import a video or animated GIFs to simulate animations or even playable video.

Hello everyone! I’m excited to announce that in XD 45 (released today 10/26), you will be able to import MP4 video into your XD designs.

To ensure platform compatibility and performance across desktop, web and mobile preview, your video must be:

MP4
H.264
AAC audio
under 15 MB
4K or under resolution.

Enjoy and we can’t wait to see what you create!

XD does not support Animated GIF, so if you are still looking for that, please start a separate request and vote on it.

    If the direction of trying to supply dev docs continued this is absolutely essential. OR add an animation timeline for animating groups. Fantastic for illustrating transitions beyond the full screen ones that are available now.

    I use MUSE but Adobe are saying that XDis a good alternative, but without responsive video it's a complete JOKE. Seriously how can Adobe expect ANYONE to take this seriously without VIDEO upload availability.

    so sad we cannot add videos of gif docs in XD. I think that will be an amazing tool if you add it =)

    eee, I have to say XD cannot do this, actually, I think some online sites do this well, wonderfox wrote a page, I love it very much, that tutorial is a real solution for import gifs or videos to show in interactive preview.

    Well, this post is 2 years old. XD lacks a lot of features, I'm thinking in moving on to a different platform.
